Making money off of Amazon Kindle

I wanted to present myself with an amazon Kindle. So I went to amazon website and saw the price for the Kindle 3 wifi was $139 and the price for the Kindle with Free 3G + wifi was $189. Curious me wanted to see If I could save few bucks by ordering it from ebay. So I went there and did a search on Kindle. To my surprise I found out that people are selling the Kindles even in higher price and bidders are bidding for them. As an example if you click here , you can see the current bid is $154.50 which is about $15 higher than amazon's own price. This is not one random item. I have been following this from the beginning of this month and it is pretty consistent. I even tried it in Craigslist and same thing is happening there.

    The winning bid: $171.38

Interesting, but in order to make a lot of money from this, you are going to have to purchase a lot of Kindles, which is going to cost a lot of money.

Certainly a good idea, but there are easier ways to make money without having the risk or spending as much money.

I am thinking you may not even have to buy it before selling it. Once you sell the kindle, let amazon ship directly to your buyer. That would be geat profit without investing anything upfront. :-)

You also need to see what fees ebay is going to charge you. I sell a few items on ebay and the fees are horrible.

At least craigslist is free. The only fee there is the processing fee for the payment.

That's crazy ... I guess people get caught up in the bidding wars. I would go directly to Amazon and purchase myself, but that's just me.
