I am having trouble with the whole info marketing thing and wanted to ask for help. I have an ebook, with special reports, that I am trying to sell on a site I put up in Wordpress - Homes Without Payments. I have been faithfully putting up blog posts for about 2 months now, and am trying to learn wordpress better (I had some bad experiences with web designers).

So here are my questions. I am not a 'techie' guy when it comes to web pages. I am also just learning SEO. I love to write and have been told by lots of people that I am very good at it. I was thinking that I should just be writing content, work on my copywriting skills and outsource everything else. Does this sound like a good idea? Especially since I run a bunch of rental properties on the side and work a full-time job? I do have some free time but not a ton.

How do I determine who is a good person to work with when it comes to building my site and helping me to drive traffic to it? I have to admit I did not do a TON of research when it comes to the topic I selected either - and am wondering if maybe I need to look somewhere else? I am just feeling overwhelmed by the whole information marketing thing and wanted to ask for help from this very generous forum. Thanks.

Yes, you should definitely outsource as much as you can especially if you have the money to do so.

To find good people, I suggest you look over at the warrior for hire section and read the reviews. Spend some time looking and you will get a feel for who does a good job and who does not.

However, one work of caution.... it won't matter how many backlinks you get if you do not choose the right keywords. So, you might either want to start by learning how to do that ... or you can actually outsource that too!

P.S. This stuff IS overwhelming - there is a lot to learn when it comes to internet marketing.

I knew I could come here for help and you guys definitely don't disappoint. Of course this raises more questions for me:

        1) Many of my blog posts are 1000 to 1500 words - can I submit them to article sites to get the backlinks as is or do I need to modify them so they are different? I don't want to be 'google slapped' or whatever the term is for it.

        2) Where do I go to learn about using keywords? What are the best books/sites?

Thanks again for all the help!

I completely agree to with "cashcow" but to add something to that:

When it comes to selling online what you want is targeted traffic. To get targeted traffic you can take help of affiliates as you are doing by using Clickbank. But you cannot depend on that at starting. As I have been in Clickbank for years, I can tell you that more & more affiliates will promote your product once it starts selling. So initially work has to be done by you. To find targeted traffic on your own & because you love writing & you are good at it:

Write as much useful content as you can related to your product niche & then break down it into several articles. At the end of every article, you can put a two line recommendation for your ebook & a link to your site to buy it. Submit it to top quality article directories such as Ezine OR you can use hubpages.com for this purpose. A quick SEO optimization of your site can help (visit easytutorials.in/seo). This would help you for sure. There are loads of thing to do in IM but you can start off with this.

    Hope this helped.

    Wish you all the best.

I see that you are not yet a war room member. I would strongly recommend that you join as soon as possible because it is the most awesome training center with regard to anything related to Internet Marketing and the information is all free.

As far as keywords and training go, I strongly recommend Noble Samurai - Targeted Internet Marketing (not my affiliate link) - everything I learned about keywords, I learned there. I have been using Market Samurai since its inception and could not manage without it.
