Please help with a critique

Hello My Friends:

If some of you talented people could please help, please. I have a site up three months or so. It is Home Power Generation through clickbank. I am writing articles as primary traffic driver.

My focus on the searchers is the looming energy transition and the need to take care of their families. Maybe I should assume most searcher are looking for something cool and responsible to do about energy needs. Am I off track?

I am writing about one hundred articles to test. Now I am in high thirties and have had a few clickthroughs with no sales.

My site is written as a review site. I try to make it informative and interesting. Fonts?

Here is one of my recent articles, with no clickthroughs. Clickthrough rate is low single digits. Resource box is simple. Too simple?

I do appreciate any help.

Thanks

Your review site sucks, it's one of the ugliest sites I've ever seen.

Get a review web site template or something.

    And your Ezine Article...lol

    Nobody cares about Jimmy.

Why would I care that Jimmy has a review web site?

I bet your CTR is like 2% or something lol.

The promotional part of your article has to be interesting so that people CLICK on it.

You know, although you might be right about some of what you are saying, some of the ugliest sites in the world bring in some of the biggest bucks! Not to mention, I think the attitude and way you came across sucked.

Not everyone is savy with website stuff and at least the OP took action and is trying. That's more than what a lot of people here do.

So why not change the attitude because I know for a fact you have asked for help before here (I saw the thread) and think about how you would want someone to react to you?

To the OP...yes your site needs work but kudos to taking action! Awesome!

I won't be as direct as the person above, but he does have some good points.

    Your Resource Box:
Nobody reading your articles cares about you or your review site. Well, maybe the 3-5% of people that are clicking on your link do, but the other 95-97% do not. In your resource box, you have to tell the reader why they should visit your site. Give the benefits for THEM. It's all about what the reader wants, not what the author wants.

    Your Website:
I also did take a look at your website. And to be honest, it is pretty terrible. I have no idea what your website is trying to get me to do. It is all over the place. Plus, the red on gray background is ugly. You can find tons of better templates online for free.

Hope you make some good changes

    Hi,

What you could do is offer a free report as an incentive to those who visit your website from your article. Make it sound enticing and valuable. Your website layout is not user friendly and it lacks focus. You have some great content. Take a look at John Chow's blog to get some ideas for layout and how to monetize your blog.
Hang in there and best of luck.

The content is excellent, but the layout needs work. Why don't you free yourself from the hassle of having to get the layout rigth by using either free CSS HTML templates or the Wordpress Blogging platform. That way you can make design changes with 0 problems.

Less hassle, so you can concentrate more of the marketing part of it.

Your article is well written. Hoever try to group both main keywords and LSI (latent semantic index) related keywords together a little more densely so as to increase in search ranking and get more traffic.

      The resource box is ok.

      Good luck.

If I were You I would change the site all together or hire someone to do it for you. You will not get people to do what you want them to do with site like this. It doesn’t look professional. Don’t feel bad though we all have to start somewhere just do it over again.

Your article sounds like you are preaching and sounds like a news story at the same time. It is like a little news story on page 6 of the local newspaper. There is nothing wrong with eiter preaching or writing news articles, but you are trying to sell something, even if it is just to get people to come to your site and there is no reason for them to do that.

Mostly, the article is about your opinion, and people might read your article if they disagree with you, the odds of them coming to your site and buying something is pretty slim.

Andrew offers excellent advice. You have a passion for your topic, but you may not have the skills yet to communicate that passion in a way that will make money. If you hire a web designer and an article writer, you will have a better opportunity to reach your goals.

I would like to suggest also that only a small group of people on this planet are interested in things like "biogas power station powered by agriculture biomass..." They should be, perhaps, but it is not a market that will come into maturity in the near future. IMO, your topic is more like a cause rather than a way to make money at this point.
