I'm following a WSO at present. The plan includes using Word press.

SET UP The wso instructs me to disable comments.

Also to download & configure an anti spam comment plug-in.

If you're setting WP to no comments why would you need anti spam
Plug-in ?

If you are promoting a product, in particular a simple basic product, say a
duster. Would you still submit to an RSS service?

If no one adds an RSS feed, that I have submitted does the submission alone
Get my blog indexed?

    Even if you disabled comments, I think those spammer bots still can get and squeeze their way into your blog.

    The Anti-Spam can still catch the spam comments even if your comments section aren't available.

    The RSS is good to get you with backlinks, getting indexed, etc.

    So yeap, that's how it works

      Doesn't the wso writer explain why you should do these things?

      If not, I'd seriously wonder if the writer is giving genuine advise from his/her own experience or just regurgitating what they have read/heard somewhere else without understanding what they are doing or why.
