Anyone Promoting "As Seen On TV" Offers?

I am curious if anyone is promoting As Seen On TV offers and using networks that specialize in these items.

With these products so easily available at Walmart and local grocery stores, how well do these products convert online?

And are online conversions higher using the trusted Amazon, which carries the products, over a specialized affiliate network?

I will wait until these "As Seen On TV" products become available on Amazon, then quickly blast them out to my lists directing them to my stand alone niche websites with a blazing banner "As Seen On TV". The conversion is quite staggering compared to other marketing methods.

      Are you doing that now?

I just wonder how many people are skeptical of purchasing from As Seen On TV type of vendors vs buying the same from the known company Amazon.

I can't answer that, but what I would say is that anyone can put a product on the television these days. Twenty four hour television, sent from many locations to almost everywhere around the globe.

Have a look at the cost of a few second TV ad slot, sent to a chosen part of the world, from a TV station located wherever, probably at late night or very early morning.

Low cost, hardly any views, BUT nevertheless it has been 'Seen on TV'. Ok, only the camera man or woman might have seen it, but it has still been seen (and broadcast) on TV.

As ever; due diligence springs to mind.

        Just my thoughts,

        Jeff.

Just go to Amazon and type in the search bar "as seen on tv". Currently there are over 3,200 items to choose from. These are among the many types of promotions I hammer my subscribers with every single day.

The "As Seen on TV" logo is an enduring perception in some markets. Coupled with Amazon's superb genius in converting any traffic into additional, and often higher end products, you have a double whammy allurement symbiotically resulting in very high conversions. This works particularly well in targeted email promotions, as I mentioned previously; as high as 30%.

I don't know how you would monetize that site except perhaps by maybe just setting up an astore with all the "As Seen On TV" products, and using a domain redirect to your affiliate store. My experience though has been if you give too many choices all at once, most if not all, in that niche will not even make a choice. What I do is have websites with just a few dozen or so themed products, and drive traffic from among my targeted subscriber lists along with a few other standard traffic generation techniques.

Do you know of a way I could build a quick review site or list the top products. Asseenontv.com has taken down their affiliate program temporarily. Amazon does not recognize the .cm domain, and to boot im not a great designer/programmer but I am worth my salt in wordpress....hence the reason looking for a JV>

I was one of their affiliates until it shut down temporarily.
I received their email to reregister, requires adsense account to sign up?

I still have my old god vacuum groomer affilaite link below:

                          https://www.asseenontv.com/prod-page...=shah69spinner

But it turn out to be their main page now - I guess I stick to Amazon now

What a coincidence, I was thinking about that today. The kind of marketing push these products get on the TV makes you wonder about their conversion. They must be doing pretty good (at least the ones that repeat couple times).

Since the brand recognition is already done for you, it's not a bad opportunity at all. The only way to make decent money with them would be to get decent volume. These products are low prices. There are exceptions of course.

I am really curious how the conversions are from using as "As Seen On TV" affiliate vendors (companies) vs Amazon for the same As Seen on TV products.

Yes, I'm doing that now, and getting around 30% conversions from my subscribers as an Amazon affiliate. Dunno what others do, but Amazon is very good at getting their traffic to buy something. And adding "As Seen On TV" seems to be a nice clincher to drive that traffic. To top it all, you get paid even if your customer decides to buy other items other than the ones you are promoting!

I've thought about it, myself. Yet, every time I've ever done any research on the sites themselves; they don't ever seem to be generating much (if any) traffic on their own. I tend to believe that if a product already has recognition, branding and even TV spots going.. their site(s) should at least be in the low 200K range on Alexa.

Yet, I've consistently seen these site in the low 'millions'.

Conventionally thinking; there's nothing to "ride" off of. Any marketing push would be all up to me and I haven't given it enough thought to think about how to justify the work that would be involved to outrank sites like Amazon that carry the same products, (not to mention Amazon has the 'used' feature, as well).

I guess the only way I could think about justifying the pushing of those kinda offers; (now that I think about it); would be IF their affiliate back-end notification system had some type of way to programatically notify my server, (like PayPal's IPN), so I could incorporate some type of automatic upsell system and just pass those offers off as list builder throw away offers.

    Just my 2¢

You can also check out ASSEENONPC.COM which is a CPA network that sells all of these TV products. I haven't used them yet, so I can't comment on anything, but just in case anyone wants to try it out, I figured I'd mention it.
