How Can I Improve My Optin Form

Hey, I want to know ways that I can increase subscribes on my site and how to get people to actually confirm their subscriptions.

My site is located here at Guide Goods

I really want to increase my subs so please do not take this as self promotion.

Any input is appreciated. Thank you!

I would recommend putting it above the fold.

And I would say to go to this forum:
    The Copywriting Forum

They really helped me out when I was setting up a squeeze page.

I am surprised you don't have any audio content here....Audio can go a long way in personalizing your offer and increasing conversions..

I'd move it up to the top right-hand corner, and most of all change the cover-image of the free report you're offering for the opt-in, because it's really difficult to read at the moment, and not appetising/appealing for that reason.

I would put some point about your free report and possibly change the graphic, people tend to avoid things that looking 'scary', for lack of a better word. I'd always move it to the top right and single it out more with a border, and put a 'resource box' at the end of your posts point to a page that is exclusively for signing up and offer the free report. If you have the time, find the statistics on all of the problems viruses causes and the financial outlay to fix them. Just a few ideas :-)

Let me be honest....You won't get many opt ins because the page isn't designed for that purpose. The only time you get opt-ins is because of the "ohh, they are offering something" moment.

Also, your offering isn't appealing enough. You did not mention Why getting a virus is dangerous, what happen when I get a virus in my comp etc.

The cover of your ebook is also not appealing....

    My solution?

Have a separate page for opt ins. Have appealing reasons why I should get that book. Choose another book if you cant find a great offering in your existing one.

PS: you can check out my landing page as an example. Alternatively, you can look at landing pages from Clickbank. Look at the most popular products and see how they word it.

    Cheers!

Ecover? This offer is bad. Why should i download ebook about how to avoid getting a virus? Why? I know how to avoid already: don't visit weird and dodgy sites. Simple.

You have some traffic coming in. Look at your most popular posts. All are internet marketing? Internet marketing and computer virus together? It's wrong.

Offer internet marketing related product. Top 10 ways to make money online, 5 top traffic secrets. Trust me...you will build your list way faster.

Oh...and change Photoshop banner with opt-in box. Always keep opt-in box on top right corner.

Your list is worth nothing, if they don't want to buy anything. Ebook about virus? What you are thinking to market for this list? Anti virus software only? I'm 99% sure they are not interested in that.

    Think about it.

Edit: the reason i said look at your most popular post is because then you know what type of visitors visit your site. Internet marketers.

Make your header narrower, it is just taking up space on your prime real estate. Move your optin box to the left hand sidebar above everything else.

Your title of your free guide is one of those words that is kind of like a synonym to the word dummies, or idiots but not exactly. Change the title to something besides "A Fool's Guide To . . ." You could also change to the guide title to be something they are doing instead of something they are NOT doing.

Something more like "How You Can Stop Viruses Cold"
5 Simple Steps To Keeping your Computer Safe

      Those things might help.

The thing is Margo what do I offer them cause my site is about computer tips and tricks not only about internet marketing

Test out a lightbox optin popup on there too. Or if that's too "in your face" try something like Instant Slideup. I've used it with good results.
And yes like others said, move your optin above the fold, and into the upper right hand corner. In addition if you can figure out a way to split test the copy/colors/images on that optin you'll be able to improve it even faster. Google Website Optimizer might be a good way to do that.

I understand, but you need to separate 2 niches.

For example you can't write a blog about weight loss and penis enlargement.

If you are offering everything on your blog things get messy and trust me...for some people that's complete turn off. Let's say i find your blog post in Google for keyword twitter marketing tips. I open your blog...and i will see post about computer games, game tricks, other things you can do with computer. For me, that's complete turn off. In 10 seconds i will leave and i'll never go back. Why? Because i know there's nothing interesting for me.

People scan...they don't read. If they don't see what interests them in 5 seconds...they are gone.

Thumbs up, your site is good and it gets traffic. But do you want to make money...or you want to write for fun?

Sorry for my critique, but that's how i make money every day. I keep everything targeted and related. 1 blog for marketing, 1 for weight loss, 1 for computers etc. Every blog gets their own offer, so i can build highly targeted list only.

Edit: Also your opt-in conversions are much higher.

I have a question. Should I even have an optin gift in general because the people in my niche might be wary to entering their email

    • Why don't you use wordpress and put on your opwn domain? It looks like you are building a nice blog but you will always be restricted by blogger as to what sort of list building tools you add to the blog.

Have you tried sending your traffic to squeeze page? That's how people get more optins.
