    Don't rely way too much on what alexa ratings mean, these stats don't indicate all that much.

      Doesn't mean much, maybe 20 unique's a day if that.

      But it's better than being in 7 digits.

    Alexa used to only track traffic from users of their Toolbar,
    which has declined somewhat I think and is used mostly
    by us Geeks who want to know what a site's Alexa
    ranking is. If your site is getting traffic from webmasters,
    programmers, etc... chances are a lot of them have the
    toolbar. If your traffic is coming from internet newbies,
    senior citizens, etc... you could be getting traffic but Alexa
    wouldn't be tracking it.

    I think they might be relying on other factors too these
    days to rank sites. Like pagerank it's just a general
    indicator and won't tell you if the site is making money.

    As it has already been said it really means nothing at all.. TheRichJerks.net :: earn money online, marketing, advertising, information materials, money, network marketing, paid to click, multi-level marketing is listed at 700,000 on alexa but I am getting 65 unique a day. The site is not that old at all, I think about 2 months old.. I have not advertised much on the site but I have done some articles and submitted those articles. Alexa had the site at 18 million when it was first opened..

    So again it means nothing at all ...

    Back link is a link to your site from another site. (If I'm not mistake)

    Anyway , Alexa rank based on a group of members that have the Alexa toolbar.
    As your rank getting lower the more traffic your site gets.

    Use Google Analytics for better information about visitors , page views and such.

    A backlink is where you place a link from a website/search engine/article directories to your own website using an anchor text.

    The main purpose of doing this is to increase your search engine rankings with all the backlinks coming back to you.

    You really want to get your alexa rank around 100,000 or less.. the lower the better... but if you are not selling seo services or links then it should not matter to you.
