How does a clickbank refunds works exactly,
do they simply charge you back the sale you made or does it work in some other way?

I saw something some blog post that said clickbank automatically charge you with a % they they use for refunds...

How does i work, the clickbank faq did not make me any wiser...

Sincerely
Karl

Based on what I know, if there is a refund cb does not charge you or the affiliate anything they just take the amount of the initial sale back from the publisher and the affiliate. But if it is a chargeback the publisher and the affiliate lose the sale amount and the publisher is charged $18 or so by cb.

    Cheers

Like Wilson said, for a refund they just subtract the amount you earned from your account, so it is the same moneywise as if the person never bought the item.

A chargeback is when the customer goes directly to their credit card company and claims they didn't buy the item, or gives some other excuse, rather than just asking for a refund. In that case, CB or any processor will charge you an extra fee, since they get charged a fee.

What you may be thinking of here is the Return Allowance

    https://www.clickbank.com/accounting.html#RA

where ClickBank hold back part of your payment to allow for possible
    refunds or chargebacks

ok, thanks, now a follow up question, what would you consider to be a good refund rate, I´ve researched some great products where the refund rate was really high, should I be concernad about this factor or should I just ignore it if I think the product is good.

Is refund rates something that you research before picking a product to promote?

    Sincerely
    Karl
