Hi Warriors

I got an awesome fake email from"Paypal" the other day. It said my account had been limited, and to login and resolve the issue.

It had all the warnings "don't give anyone you password" etc, and got me to click to login.

Lucky my antivirus has a good anti dodgy site blocker in place, or they might have got me.

Just letting prople know to be alert.

Cheers

Generally, companies appreciate you forwarding phishing emails to them, usually abuse@company, probably there is an abuse@paypal.com

Thanks guys, i have sent it to them.

I'm normally very hot on not clicking anything in an email, this one slipped through my net!

Always use the browser to type the url yourself. Never click the link within the emails.

That is the reason why I NEVER click on links in email from companies like Paypal and Ebay. Always log into your account through Firefox or IE, never click on email links.

Always double check the URL address from which the email is being sent.

And log in to Paypal by actually typing in the URL address yourself into a new browser window. Close this window after you log out.

In your case, I would change your Paypal password immediately but first check thoroughly that no keylogging spyware has been installed on your computer or laptop / mobile device.
