2,147,483,647 Google indexes?

Hello Warriors....

I created an autoblog about 2 months ago and I got indexed pretty quickly by
Yahoo and Bing. I got nothing from Google for several months... a big fat zero.

I wake up this morning to check my Search Engine Optimization stats and out of nowhere I see that
Google has 2,147,483,647 indexes on my blog... huh???

I'm a behind the scenes guy who spends alot of time developing stuff, so this
internet marketing and Search Engine Optimization stuff is still pretty new to me.

I haven't really done anything different. I did start adding a couple of my own post
from time to time, but nothing major.

I'm running WP-Robot and bringing in automatic content from Youtube and Yahoo Answers.

Can somebody explain to me what might have happened?

I get nothing from Google for several months and then in one day I see an
astronomical number of indexes....

???????????????????????????????

If it was a new domain, it may have taken time for Google to see you. No one really knows the truth here, but from personal experience, it seems that the first 3-6 months of a new domain name could be a "sandbox" time where Google refuses to index you - then, once that threshold hits, you are in.

Take it as a blessing - and congrats.

How do you like WP-Robot? Been looking at it myself along with a few others for some grossly under-monetized domains that are parked at google.

This might be a rare case, but my site got indexed on the 6th day it was uploaded. It is not a month old yet and it is crawled by google every 2-3 days... I have more than half of my content indexed already.

It makes more of a difference to google if you have original content compared to the age of the site. So far as I understand...

If you want to know how many pages of your site google has indexed, type site:yourdomain.com into google and it will tell you.

It's basically impossible to get 2 billion backlinks.

That's what I'm trying to figure out guys, I'm not claiming to have that
many, I'm trying to figure out what the heck is going on...

          software glitch maybe?

You got that sandbox thing all wrong.

When you're in the sandbox - Google indexes your website, and all its pages. You just don't rank well

I guess that depends on how long you have been around. I have been marketing online for over 10 years. While I don't keep up to date on everything, several years ago the "sandbox" was when Google penalized you by either not indexing you or de-indexing you. I guess everything changes - maybe I am just a bit old school on my terms :-)

      Hey Guys,

Like I said, all this seo stuff is new to me....

All I know is that I use a wordpress plugin My Seo Status

I check it every couple of days...

      There are 4 headings
      Google Yahoo Alta Vista Bing

Under each of these headings are sub-headings
      indexation backlinks

I had indexes and backlinks on Yahoo, Alta Vista and Bing
      for several months.

But I had zeros on both sub-headings for Google for the last 2 months.

I woke up this morning to check my stats and the total
under the Google indexation was 2,147,483,647

In the past I would type my url into google and nothing
today I typed my url into google and it's all over the place.

I don't know if it's indexing pages or what, but the search results
I found where not duplicates as far as I could tell.

p.s. my domain is not new... it's 4 years old

Aren't there any other programmers in here that recognize that number? It's the largest 32-bit signed long. In other words, a software bug.

took your advice and did the google thing

      results came back 353

      a little more realistic...

I need a new seo tracker....
