if you had 10k what would you do with it

Exactly as the title says. If you had 10k sitting around what would you do with it to turn a profit online right now? What area would you hit or what type of site would you want to open? Would you open multiple sites or put the 10k toward 1 great site?
#10k
  • It is better for you to find your own niche and built different sites for it. But you don't need to spend all 10K to your online business to become a successful online marketer. You can also use it to promote your affiliate products.

I would probably put it towards niche blogs - the vast majority of what I'd outsource is content and backlinks.

Some would be small, tightly focused blogs, and I'd want to build at least 1 authority site as well.

i invest in creating a product. research its market. have a killer sales page. attract affiliates. and get cashflow.

the trick is to outsource as much as you can. avoid perfectionism syndrom. and don't be afraid to part with your money.

...this is very hard to do.

and it's no wonder that => this is what i am working on.

money as an absolute amount ($10k or $100k) it will be gone in an instant. why not invest in a business that will bring you monthly income.

i'm stressing for my first sale for my new product. need a complete do over. frustrating and discouraging - yes. no sense of results - yes.

but the dream will never die. i envision $20k a month minimum. so i can live anywhere. eat anything. do whatever. give my family a life of adventure.

    sorry...off topic.

I'd invest it in an experience that would yield me a fantastic product, i.e. I'd blow it all on travel and then write the definitive guide to X location. The where, the what and the how of making the most of X location.

Then I'd either try and get it published or market it myself with a travel blog (et al).

That's mostly because I like to try and double dip on the enjoyment/monetary factor.

I beleive there are 2 things that will determine massive success online

1.) Develop your own product with a GOOD business model that has longevity

2.) Network with successful marketers and JV

So my 10K would be put towards those 2 specific goals.

I would do the same thing I am doing now.

Devoting most of my attention to one product line. I believe that you can attain leverage when focusing all your efforts.

        For example:

I have been working on my particular product line for about 4 years now. It has built up quite nicely and I have about a ton more products that will be developed around this product line.

So that means I can make more money with less customers then a competitor with only one product.

When you really start getting the hang on marketing, you will have so ways of structuring offers that will blow your mind. You really can take the same products and create new offers by mixing and matching or even repositioning them to same market or other markets.

Having your own products allow you to do that compared to something like Affiliate marketing.

10k is nice amount to start with. I would invest this money in building a sub list in IM niche.

My target would be around 8k to 10k subs on my list.

I would probably invest that into the creation of my own software product.

I would have to think long and hard about what software though. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything that isn't already out there that would benefit a lot of people. I wouldn't be wanting to spend $10k on creating something that was already out there.

I'd spend it all on traffic, assuming of course that I already had a optimized squeeze page up to drive that traffic to.
Done right 10 grand can drive a ton of optins and then you'll have a monetizable asset after the money is gone.

I'd invest in outsourcing to build an extensive network of blog sites, some of which would be monetized by CPA offers, and the rest by Amazon products. I'd employ this diversified approach so that I'd be less affected if unexpected changes temporarily impact my CPA or Amazon monetization, and also be able to get a good mixture of faster earnings with CPA (compared with Amazon), and consistent and passive/residual income with Amazon.

That's a good move if you're starting from scratch. I'll pay that.

Otherwise invest in creating a product and getting traffic for that product.

To the OP: Take $8k and put it away and pretend you don't have it. Then try and make a buck with the $2k you have. If it works, then invest more. Otherwise, $10k can disappear too quickly down a black hole in this business.

At the moment i have 2 cross platform mobile apps in development that should be done in another 2-3 weeks. One of them is a game that i plan on doing alot of submissions for and some paid advertising. The other is in a niche that is my passion. I plan to open a blog and outsource writers to write daily articles in this niche which is very popular but not saturated at all, i think there are 3 blogs in the entire niche but about 160million people in the world that use this "niche" . Later on when the traffic comes i will add a forum to the blog site and use this space to advertise my app right there as well. I have a few other things in the works as well as i do not like to put all of my eggs in 1 basket.
Now when you all say to Create a product, are you referring to a physical product or are you referring to some type of ebook or software or are you talking about advertising/marketing someone elses actual product?
Also what do you mean spend the money on education? Please elaborate on that.
I wouldnt want to have to deal with 10 blogs.. thats way to much article writing even though i would probably outsource most of it , its still wayy to much.

If I had a loved one who was just beginning, and he/she said to me, "I have 10k to get going...how do I spend it to be sure I'm set going into the future?"

    I'd tell them...

    - A couple hundred bucks on a good, solid copywriting course.
    - A couple hundred on a good, solid product in a niche you're passionate about.
    - The rest toward living expenses, so you can quit your job, devote your time to recreating the product in your own words, with your own angle, and a good sales promotion for it. 10k should buy you at least a couple months of full-time hours to devote to the task.

If I had 10k I would figure out which was the most profitable niche I currently had a foot in, and develop a great physical product for it. Something with a high markup rate, 10x or more, and the final price for the customer would have to be in the 50-200 dollar range. I would make sure it was something scalable, and if possible, an item that would require repeat business (consumable in some form or another). I would set up manufacturing, fulfillment, customer service, and an aggressive marketing campaign. I would try to automate the system as much as possible, allowing me to free my time to start the next project.

I'd love to create multiple sites and spend the rest of the money for the site maintenance and operation. I would be selling books and telling all about Australia. Great areas! These are all my interests.

It's best to put up sites that are of your interest and, of course, you have the sufficient budget to support it.

  • If I wanted to turn it into a further profit, and all 10k for that purpose, I'd reinvest it into my business.

Specifically, I would put that 10k into marketing. However, in North America, 10k is not that much for a business. It would only be enough for me to hire one person for about two months, so most likely (if I was to only use that 10k), I would find a couple of outsourced workers that did an excellent job that I could possibly work with longer term and perhaps get at least 3-4 months work for about 2 workers.

Alternatively, if it was just 'fun' money (i.e., to play around with), I'd go through the WSO section here, review a bunch of the warriors based on reputation & results, then spend 10k testing & tracking services which performed for me. Those that delivered results, I of course would re-invest more into, in the future.

I would put it into developing my current site. I use to have 6 domains I worked on all the time.

    Now I have 1.

It makes $xx daily, but can make $x,xxx daily with a little work.

No question, it would all go toward building that site into a better money machine.
