Best Autoresponder for Versatility?

I've been using Aweber for a while and I'm just impressed with the versatility that it provides.

For example, I'd like to segment my list in such a way that...

1. I have a master list that I can use to drip all of my content to all of my segments.

2. Have separate segments that I can send targeted emails to.

Seems simple enough and saves me a ridiculous amount of time and effort with not having to copy and paste every single autoresponder message and broadcast that I want to send to every single segmented list.

Now I have been able to use Aweber's automation to create a master list but the problem I'm running into at the moment is...

It automatically sends Autoresponder Message #1 immediately with no way of delaying it.

So if I take a subscriber and place them directly on 2-3 lists then they will automatically get 2-3 initial messages before I can control how and when they receive the next message(s)

Is there a more versatile autoresponder that gives you more control over list segmentation?

Or is there an easier way to achieve what I'm trying to do?

Thanks for the help!

  • Irrespective of that first email which goes out, surely emails 2, 3 and 4 etc. across your 2 or 3 listsare going to swamp them with email anyway?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here...

I'm not swamping them with emails.

      Here's a perfectly good scenario...

I want to have a list specifically for dripping content that I want both my prospect list and customer list to receive. So I would want my customers to be moved from the prospect list to a customer list yet still receive the content emails.

So it would make sense to use a master list for this purpose.
