You can tell people who send automatic blog comments to blogs even when they try to make it sound real, its so bloody obvious!

    They don't care. Some of them even hang around in here and will defend to the death their supposed right to leave junk comments on blogs and forums.

    Yeah, these automated blog comments are a real nuisance! I have a fantasy sports blog and get dozens of comments a day having nothing to do with sports of any kind. I guess relevance doesn't matter to these spammers as long as they get a backlink. The funny thing is I never approve this crap, but still get the same links over and over.

      Since it's automated, they don't care. They're just throwing spaghetti at walls and hoping some of it sticks.

    A good spam filter solves this problem. I have totally halted spam comments on one of my popular blogs. No more worries.

    A smart way to do this is to hire real people or referals to comment on blogs for you. It is Human automation, it is real people leaving real comments, and you ACTUALLY get a backlink because the comments have a higher chance of being approved.

    I have to approve any comment on my blogs as well. I am trashing almost 10 comments a day now. Some of them actually use things like "God has blessed you as a writer" and some other totally general things that they copied and pasted in.

    I had one commentor to come back and comment again asking why I deleted their comment and telling me that it is not fair to delete their valuable information. I had a good laugh out of that one!!

    Yeah they are so annoying and obvious. Use Akismet and NoSpamNX. They will take care of most of it. I'm sure there's other spam plugins too. Also set your blog settings so you have to approve all comments to make sure none of them get through.
