Do you know if you can have 1 amazon associate id for USA, UK, Australia, etc... or do you have to have seperate ones to promote products from those different sites?

You have to apply separately for each one.

Yup, there is NO way to have the same Associate ID. They are all identical programs pretty much, but they ARE separate programs and you get paid separately.

Your tag will have -20 on the end for US, -21 on the end for UK, for example. And there's no way round that.

Some scripts do allow you to geotarget though and supply a different ID depending on the visitor's country. The old Amazon Product Feed used to do that and I am sure plenty more.

Who says you can't earn money as an eBay affiliate any more? My stats say otherwise

You only need web services keys if you are running a script that uses the web service. Obviously, just for posting affiliate links on your blog you don't need that! If you know why you need keys then if I remember rightly you need to sign up as a developer here: http://aws.amazon.com/archives/Produ...88820120459957 and then you can create keys.

No, you don't need to associate them with your affiliate ID. What happens is when you make an API/web service call (or the script you are using does), one of the parameters you pass to the web service will be your affiliate ID. Then, all the links that the web service returns as part of the XML data will have your affiliate ID automatically tacked on.

      Hope that helps.

I'd recommend signing up for the other two English speaking ones at least. Sign up and approval are quick for both.

        associates.amazon.ca
        affiliate-program.amazon.co.uk

Wordpress has a great plugin to automatically localize for you. So if your visitor is visiting from the UK they'll get a link to Amazon.co.uk, if they're visiting from the US they'll get a link to the same product on Amazon.com
