Is there an online network for posting offline ads (in magazines, newspapers, etc)?

Hi guys,

well the title pretty much says it all.

I know Google had a similar service but it was shut down. Probably it wasn't as profitable for them.

I had an idea about using QR codes to drive traffic and I would like to find an online ad network that allows me to "post" ads that will be shown in magazines, newspapers, billboards and so on.

Any help is appreciates, thanks!

Take care,

~Davor

    There are tons of them.

You just got to Google "newspaper advertising", "magazine advertising", etc.

I don't know about your area, but I've been doing the same thing with QR codes for the last few months. Try nationwideclassifieds.com and nationwideadvertising.com for newspapers, magazines, and specialty/regional markets if you want to hit up the US. Most of them have online classifieds included with their offline market. Both of these guys are great and you can get very excellent, wide coverage for just $20,000 - $30,000 a month. QR is hot! Also I use some local bill board advertising services.

Thanks a lot for a detailed response.

Yes, my primary market is US so this is perfect.

For being able to show QR codes I should be using for example 2x2 display ads, right?

Glad you're having success with it, I also think this is a great idea.

Would you mind giving some other links to sites you use, for example for the QR codes I found QR-Code Generator this site for generating QR codes.

Do you maybe also have links to some statistics about how many people have smart phones in the US, some demographics, etc? Or even better - how many people have QR readers installed on their smart phones?

        Thanks a lot,

        ~Davor.

I don't think you'll get much response by displaying QR codes themselves, but give it a shot. Most of the newer smartphones do have readers.

Should we tell him all the market research data he wants me to do is available the same way?

          Nah... forget it.

It's not a target way to drive visitors. You can post ads to classified ads and get better results. But if you really like newsletter advertising, then try your niche area magazines. It's easy to find many of them here. There are good reviews and comments about them. First check the reviews to make sure they are effective enough and then try them.
