Amazon Affiliate - Calling All Your Amazon Gurus!

1. In my account there is a section where i can sign up for Product Advertising API (THIS is new i havent seen this before ) do i need to sign up for it?

2. Where can i create web services keys to use with WP Zone Builder? Can i do that in my account somewhere?

3. Under Account> Fee Strucuture it provides two options either straight 4%FLAT fee or performance 4 to 8.5 Which one is best to go with and what is the difference?

    For number 3, you will want performance level. You get a higher commission. I don't think you need to sign up for API. I think I did because I was using the WP Robot. Someone else probably could help you with that question.

    Oh, and I have no idea why Amazon lets people choose which commission, flat or performance. Flat means they only pay you 4%. I think it is a way for Amazon to save money for people who don't switch to performance.

    How Is My Referral Rate Determined?

    If you select the Performance structure, your referral rate will be based on your total number of shipped items from both Amazon and third-party sellers. The same rate will apply equally to both Amazon and third-party items, and will apply to all referred items shipped during the month. Please refer to the Referral Rate Tier Chart below for additional detail.


    I use performace myself. I am not sure why you would slect a flat rate.

    You'll need to sign up for your AWS API keys in order to use most, if not all, Amazon plugins.

    The web service keys you put into WP Zon Builder are the keys you get by signing up for your AWS API keys.

    The API is for programmers or software that can display real time prices and other info.

    If you are just making your own links you do not need to bother with the API.
