I suggest you to use Exit Popup for non IM niche.

Last week, I make a sale on non IM niche blog.
Guess what, I used Exit Popup.

Yes, I myself feel it annoying.
That's why I'm suggesting using the exit popup on the
non IM niche blog.

What do you think?

  • Fact of the matter is ... like them or hate them ... they work, as simple as that.

One of my sites can attribute 33% of it's sales to an exit pop up.

So thats sales which would never have happened without an exit pop up.

    they work...but...
apparently google does not really like them...
they associate it with a poor user experience...
so if you rely on seo....
    it might not be good.

now if google would just tell us exactly how many points you lose for having one....

then we could weigh it up against the better conversions...

    but they don't say much...

so i'll play it safe - until i know more

Wow, this information is new for me.
Would you mind to give me where can I read about it?
      Interested to know.

I'm struggling with the on-exit-popup. I hate them, but I know they work. I don;t use them, but I know I should...

What happens when people who bought from your main page realize they could have saved $10 if they just played the 'exit-pop' game? Won't that make them, shall we say, angry? Demand the lower price, or a refund? Has this happened to anyone?

Should the on-exit-pop NOT BE a cash discount, but something like an OTO or "if you order today you'll get a smokeless ashtray" kind of thing?

Or should the on-exit just return to the main page because the visitor might have 'exited by mistake'?

How to make this more palatable...

I don't have a problem with people who use them, however I don't use them myself and don't intend to start doing so.

As a prospect I don't mind 1 or 2 exit pop ups, but I don't like it when there are 3, 4, 5, 6 etc and it is very difficult to leave quickly.

I'd be curious to find out if anyone has tried running the exit pop on the actual order page, rather than on the sales page...

There is some simple code you can add to the link (buried somewhere in my notes, now that I'm looking for it) that will not trigger the pop if the link destination is where you want the click to go - like a payment processor.

My personal opinion, sans data to back it up, is that anything you can do to sweeten the deal might work for an exit pop. It doesn't have to be cash. I'm willing to be educated, though.

Making the on-exit simply return to the main page could cause an infinite loop and really annoy people.

      I hate those things.

One I don't mind, but when it goes to 3 and beyond I start to think that this guy must be so desperate and his product must be crap...

One of them was so bad that I had to force a shut down on my computer just to get out of his website.

I unsubscribe from the lists of people who send me those links.
