PDF stamping on e-books: experiences?

Hello,

e-junkie has a feature called PDF stamping. It will print the buyer's name, email address and transaction number in small type in the top left corner of every page in the ebook.

I'm wondering what people's direct selling experiences are with this exact one feature.

There are a lot of other things out there like passwords, etc. But I'm wondering what real-world, in the field experiences are from people who have used this on products they have sold 100 or more copies of in the marketplace (enough sales to get a perspective). Looking for actual customer feedback, rough statistics. Not theory or philosophy.

I'm trying to figure out the "upside" versus the "downside". Right now, I see some potential upside, but not really any downside. Kind of like "can't hurt, might help".

Is that the right idea for this?

PDF stamping has been discussed in a number of other threads under the general subtext of e-book security. But I'm looking for a round-up of real world direct experiences on just this one topic.

Thanks.
