Install the Alexa tool bar. In Google's browser, Chrome, the "toolbar" can be made to be nothing more than a little icon. very nice! I am pretty positive that visits that you make to your website count towards Alexa ranking; so visits you make to your site while you regular check on and update will count for you and their rank.

Why is it good to have a low Alexa ranking? Something to brag about perhaps... and if it gets really good, it can possibly give your site or sites credibility to those who end up seeing it.

Um...no

You can't click the hell out of your own alexa toolbar to give your site some better ranking. There's obvious tracking installed for that.

Want a better alexa ranking? Get real traffic to the site.

I agree. Try improving your real traffic and not alexa traffic rank.

do don't click the tool bar, you simply visit your sites as you regularly would and it drives down your rank.

Alexa rankings are easily manipulated? sure, but not that easily.

Alexa rankings are meaningless. Internet Marketing sites will always have an over-inflated Alexa ranking because most people visiting those sites have the Alexa toolbar installed.

Compete.com and others are far more accurate.

Never heard of this so Im not sure if really affects the Alexa ranking. I did however, remember autosurf sites that pays people to surf sites while they have the toolbar installed. Somewhat unethical I assume.
