What are the options for Comedy-type site?

Hi,

I am looking to develop a website similar in style
to B3TA : WE LOVE THE WEB, and I would be grateful to know
what choices of Content Management System (CMS)
I have (open-source or other), along with other any
software that I might get for free or pay for.

The site would be geared to a young audience, and
the content would be light-hearted, and silly, and will
use mainly user-generated content.. videos, stories,
etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    You can do almost anything with Wordpress.. and Joomla is another good CMS.

      Hey, cheers Mick, nice one :-)

      I've heard of Joomla, and that could help, but
      isn't Wordpress just for blogs? Ideally, users
      could submit silly/comedy related material to
      the site and maybe network with others too.

      A bit like YouTube then, but not just about
      videos...!

    Nah man WP isn't just for blogs.. it can be used as a full blown CMS these days.

    Install TDO mini forms (WordPress › TDO Mini Forms « WordPress Plugins) and you can have pretty much any kind of user interaction.
