Do you read snippets?

Hi,

Do you read the snippets / excerpts on this forum? or just read the titles and whilst we're on the subject do you also read email snippets or just the subject line.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about move your mouse cursor over a thread title in the main forum area to see the first few lines within a thread.

    Titles catch my eye then yes, I go right to the snippet and read it each time.

    The lead in is the magnet for me. Or the turn-off

    I think the title draws most of my attention in the forum. For emails I do read the snippets.

    In forums I always get drawn in through titles... although having snippets is nice for checking a thread i'm not sure if I'm interested in... Emails the snippet is key since titles and senders can be misleading now-a-days...

    There are a few people I'll click through to read every time, so the snippets aren't needed then, but for the most part I almost always use the snippets to see if I want to enter the thread. It saves a lot of back button clicks.

    Agree with Dennis above ^^^^^^

    The snippets save an incredible amount of time, especially when you consider the number of threads on this forum. Without them I'd be spending hours hitting the back button.
