Streaming video site template

Is anyone aware of a site template that would basically allow to run an online tv station. All it's ever doing is streaming video -- and the back end would allow you to set what videos are to show at what times.

This might be a reach, but you never know...

      Just as Ty suggested services like Ustream might be your first choice. The benefits are that you can be up and streaming immediately and its free.

      However, something to consider is that if you go the free route your stream will be highly compressed so the image quality will not be that great.

      Depending upon the amount of viewers a live streaming site can be very very expensive to run if you are running high quality streams because of the bandwidth costs.

      There are many services that offer live streaming for high quality for various prices but the cost is very very high.

      If you want to do it all your self you will need quite the hosting setup to support it depending on the popularity of your site and content as well as some high end hardware and software to run it all.

      Notice the different stream sources he has at the bottom. Also note that he has had special relationships with some of those providers who give him more bandwidth and better pricing and services than many standard users.
