Who knows anything about the Christian market?

Hey everyone,

Just trying to do some research and want to know if anyone has done or is doing anything in the Christian market? Is it profitable for you or not? Just would like a few opinions if you all wouldn't mind. Thanks in advance!

Christian ebooks do quite well on the Amazon Kindle. I have helped people publish books that sell 1 or 2 a month and others that sell a couple thousand a month.

Affiliate marketing isn't too bad for ebooks, and next year I am going to try and do some physical books too.

No luck so far on the Nook, religious works of all types do not seem to do well there.

I also sell a couple thousand ebooks for the Kindle every year in the Christian niche. I am currently writing a fiction series which I have high hopes for.

There's certainly a lot of products, and it is a huge niche.

If you get a list going, I can supply some physical products for a split.

I have a good amount of experience with the Christian market. If you want to work for free, there are tons of opportunity to do so as a service to the Lord, but trying to make money is tough.

Essentially, every church has a ton of kids that "know about the internet" and they will try to use them before every seeking professional help, if at all. This is sad because churches are obviously "social" organizations and could benefit in many ways by using the vast array of social sites on the internet.

I am open to discussing your thoughts regarding this subject. PM me if you would like to start a dialog.

I wasn't looking to really work with churches etc. I kinda was thinking about selling books and ebooks and maybe some other physical things. I have seen a few authority sites that looked real good, although I wonder if they are making much money?

Ya you guys are talking about two completely different things. You are talking about targeting Christian consumers with Christian-themed products, a legitimate market that you can do well in, and he's talking about offering marketing services to churches.

I would definitely recommend the Christian market. It is meaningful to many people, both on a personal and business level, of course.

There is a wide open opportunity for profit in the Christian Market. I have been involved in some very small niches in this industry and have been able to do well (financially speaking). Here are some ideas for you:
-Call some mission organizations and promote for them. Many sites (as I have experience) could use assistance with their SEO surrounding their sites.
There are so many clothing options when it comes to this niche that you can easily rank for several specific apparel items with very targeted traffic.
-Jewelery- this can get a little competitive BUT just from some light research I have found some very profitable jewelery niches with certain meaning in this niche
-Think of tradition in certain denominations and become the authority on that. For instance confirmation classes. Give great info and then naturally add affiliate links to trusted providers of the items needed.

    Hope that helps!
