Opening a suspended adwords account

I just logged into an adwords account I had from years ago and It was suspended.

I read as well that any other account I open will be blocked

Is there any way to open a new account and get around these rules?

Your first concern should be to figure out why your account was suspended. If it was for an outstanding debt, then they will likely link you to any new account that you open. The best way to rectify that is to pay your bill. If it was for breaking rules, then you may get away with a new account. Soooo, why was your first account suspended?

I hear that people often do it using their wives or relative's credit card.

So this account predated the bloody purge of late 2009? I've seen reports that it was a mainly automated process, based on the products being promoted, ****, rebills were hard hit.

    Hi cpalounger.

You have to take a new account like Arian said, becaus my adwords account was suspended too. I have used my brothers credit card and was suspended. After I have openened a new account there was no problem because then I used my own credit card.

Did you use someone's credit card or was there any other reason for the suspended account?

I just jumped on the forum to see if anyone else had their account suspended. Mine was taken down on Christmas day with no warning. This has happened to a lot of people in another forum I belong to. There are also multiple posts on the Adwords support forum from people who have had accounts suspended in the past week or two.

From what I've been able to dig up, they have been doing automatic reviews of accounts. It seems a bot has triggered the suspensions, so you may have been caught up in that mess.

My account was taken down because they said the destination and display URL did not match in some of my ads. They absolutely did and I was in full compliance with policy. I was direct linking to merchants through Shareasale. Google said my display URL should be ShareASale which is obviously not related to the merchants I direct linked to. That's where it looks like a bot looked at my affiliate link through SAS vs where the ad actually landed.

Of course no response from Google when I've contacted them. Just canned messages. I've moved all of my ads to Adcenter and plan to open another account once it looks like these suspensions are behind us.

I think you will find that it is the affiliate url that is the problem, meaning that the big G does not like any affiliate ads at all within there PPC market

Also playing with the folks in another forum and doing what they do may have been the reason your account got suspended

Get a new credit care, and create a LLC or S Corp or a trust, and open the account in the new identity with this new card. If you can get the credit care in the name of the entity, so much the better.

what stinks about their setup is even if your infraction was something from a deleted campaign thats 3+ years old that was maybe even only run for 1 minute, u can still get your account suspended...

As for getting it back - practically impossible.

As for creating a new one - keep in mind its google + all the sites, associated sites and cookies on your computer associated with them. Download a free program called CCleaner and use that to completely erase all the cookies/traces that previous sites (ie google) has left on your computer. Then you're going to need to find a way to change your IP address.. and NOT just some neighbors... just pony up the 5 bucks a month for a cheap VPN account, log into it and now you'll be surfing on a new IP. The account name and password can be just about anything, however the name and billing address on the credit card you'll be required to enter for the account can't be the same as any you've ever used with google. You can do any # of tricks for this - prepaid credit cards, using a friend's, etc.. but i've found that the easiest way has just been to call your regular credit card company and signup for a business account (if u don't already have one). Use a po box or remailer as the address (or just do what i do and have it mailed to your actual work), then call and ask for another card for an employee... any name will do.. they'll be happy to send it to you and viola.. new name, new cc, new addy, new ip, no cookies on your computer.

at least... thats whats worked for me in the past

This may work but you need to be also sure of why your account was suspended in the first place. There is no point going through all the trouble & then repeating the same mistakes which got your first account suspended.

I have my account suspended for a couple of years due to some ad posting that breaks their rules as I was new and did not know better. Now I find it troublesome to get back in, so I just let it go and use other method of ads.

I use Matt Levenhagen's blasting method. I know he's thought of highly on WF - as are a lot of other members of his forum who routinely post here. I know there are a lot of other groups/forums that are questionable 'delirious-schemers', but everything I've seen from this group is on the up and up!

Thanks for the tips on cleaning off computers. We'll see how that goes.
