Cannot view Wp-Admin Pg - function.require-once errors after moving to new server

Hi
I have just manually moved my wordpress site from one server to another.

The actual site appears to load correctly, but I can not login to wp-admin.

Firstly the wp-admin page was blank.
I searched the Net and found people suggested some fixes.
I checked my functions.php file in the themes folder, but it did not have any blank lines at the top or bottom. So this did not appear to be the problem.

Next I deleted the wp-admin folder from the server and re-uploaded it from my computer.

After this, I am now getting this message on the wp-admin page:

Warning: require_once(/home/life/public_html/XXX.org/wp-admin/includes/admin.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/life/public_html/XXX.org/wp-admin/admin.php on line 37

Please can anyone help me out?
I have spent so much time on this already and now do not have any idea what to do at all.

So frustrating.

    Hi Leanne,

    I have no idea about the error message you're receiving, but whenever I've had a problem with WP, it's been down to my wp-config file.

    If you've just moved servers have you changed the name of the database? I'm assuming you'll have had to setup a new database at your new host and if the names dont' match, then you won't be able to log in.

    Hopefully, someone a lot techier than me will be able to help out.

      Thanks for your quick reply.

      i checked in wp-config.php and the database name is correct for the new server.
      I did not overwrite the wp-config.php when I uploaded the files from the original server to the new server. I uploaded all of the other files just not wp-config.php.

      Do you know if the database name could be incorrect in another file?

        Hi Leanne,

        Sorry, I have no idea what is named where. I just know whenever I've had a problem accessing wp, it's been down to the wp-config file. Either I've put the password in wrong, or I've had a space where there shouldn't have been one, or something equally as silly.

        When I moved my sites, I simply fired up and followed this video.

        Amazingly, it worked. I managed to move several with no problems. :p

          Hey San
          Thanks again.

          I will watch this video.

          I just deleted everything and started from scratch moving the site to the new server.
          Now I CAN log in fine to Wp-admin, but now the website itself just shows a blank page!

          Frustrating.

          I am doing the same steps, but something is going wrong for me.

          Off to watch the video to see if it sheds any light on what I am doing wrong.
