Is it even possible to get low PPC bids for a landing page?

I have a squeeze page I'm trying to run Google PPC traffic to. I've done EVERYTHING I can think of:

- The page is not the home page
- There are about 10 unique articles on the website
- The landing page itself has about 1000 words
- The page is naturally keyword dense (no stuffing or forced usage though)
- Meta tag data is filled out
- The page links to other pages on the website
- There are footer links with terms & conditions, privacy policy, about us, contact us

- The keywords/ads/ad groups are tightly targetted and match each other/the squeeze page
- The ads have the main keyword in them
- There are seperate bids for broad, phrase, and exact match

Despite this, I am getting quality scores between 3-6 (4 is most common) This is after waiting 7-10 days also, so the scores are legitimate (they update every 3-4 days)

Is this just the nature of driving traffic to squeeze pages?

PPC can be a tricky and expensive business, I think you should read a few free e-books and even paid e-books on the subject before you dive in!

Well Google is a beast of a monster In itself... You must realize that advertising there with any sort of squeeze page is very 'risky' considering how much work you must do to just get approved.

After Getting approved the best way of getting low clicks is by bidding on extremely detailed and long tailed keywords. Even websites. You also want to make sure you are only advertising on the SEARCH NETWORK because advertising on both content and search can really mess up your click through ratio because you will be getting TOO many impression per click.

The higher your click through rate the lower you can bid for certain keywords. Also try the 'IMAGE' Advertising that google offers I've had great success with it getting clicks for as low as $.06 and $.07 a click!

Slowly lower your bid. GOOGLE will place your add up there.

You NEED to have a navigation bar which links to your other pages (Google wants to see this). You NEED to have the keyword on the page (Title, H1, in the content) AND in the Ad.

If the user feels trapped when he loads the page, Adwords will give you $hitty quality scores. You NEED that nav to circumvent this! MOST people will go straight to your call to action, so dont worry about people clicking around (put the optin form on all the other pages at the bottom if you're worried)

Long tail keywords might get 1-10 searches per day though. I would need large groups of them to get anything close to decent traffic, and then the ad group optimization becomes diluted

I'm just telling you what has worked for me... It takes a lot more work. I've also Have had Success with a Plain Blog with a few articles on it. And a HUGE Capture form for the call to action on the right. Making it hard not to notice it. The articles are not full articles its just summaries so everything is above the fold when they land on the page.
