when is something worth a few bucks?

I have a neat method that I use to get my individual product web pages to show really well on google.
I have been told to write an e-report and sell it for $5

How do I know if its worth it? I haven't seen it in anyone's guide before.

    It wouldn't hurt to try . Alot of SEO stuff and social media promotion stuff online is simply regurgitated, however, if you believe yours is truly unique, it wouldn't hurt to release it. Even at a $5 price point, you'll still have people who will want review copies....ask them if they have seen this method elsewhere, and if they would mind leaving a review on your WSO thread.

    You may just get reviews saying things like "Outstanding method that I have yet to see anywhere else". With time, those reviews will be a driving force of your WSO and will provide social proof that your method is truly unique.

    If it's a proven method that anyone could easily do over and over again then write it up and give out a few review copies in return for the reviewers opinions as to value of the report and expected sale price.

    One other option...

    If you have your own site and more to offer than just this method then give it away for free in exchange for signups to start building your list. You might lose a few sales now by giving it away but it could mean much more down the road if you can follow it up with more info and other services/products you can market to your list once you've built it up.

        However low the price is, one huge advantage of selling a "report" is that the list you build, as a result, is a list of buyers rather than a list of readers/seekers.
