Hey guys,
Just out of curiousity if you are using analytics or something similar what does the link look like if it originated from a PDF would it be www.example.com/document.pdf? even it was downloaded as a document or it would it come from an unknown source?

    Sometimes if it's hosted on a server you will see the PDF path but most often you will get an unknown referrer.

    If the PDF opens in a 3rd party app there won't be a referrer value.

    I put all my PDF links through my in house shortener which lets me see the clicks and track them
