The best IM tool by far (and it's secret)

I'd be willing to bet than 90% of the users of this forum have a wishlist of tools, programs, and courses with at least 5 items on them. But which one is the best one? First, a dirty secret about the tools that most don't know....

The tools will not make you money. They will HELP you earn more money; they will make your work day shorter, but if you can't make one sale without the tools you won't magically be able to once you have SENuke or whatever. I'm not saying they aren't useful, you should always reinvest to make your life easier. But don't hang your hopes on them, you have to get over the big hill on your own first. To not disappoint, here's my favorite IM tools:

Article marketing: Article Submitter Pro, SOELinkvine, SENuke, Sick Submitter

Video marketing: Traffic Geyser, Tube Mogul, Camstudio (free)

Social Media: Tweetdeck (free for small account)

Keyword research: Keyword Elite (last you should purchase), Micro Niche Finder, Domain Samurai (free)

Ranking: SEO Elite, WebPosition (30 day trial)

Analytics: Google analytics

Email marketing: Aweber

Webdesign: Wordpress, Dreamweaver

The best tool? You're not going to like it....

Understanding! Knowing what to do is great, but once you understand WHY you are doing it you'll see a huge difference in your results. Always try to understand something as you start doing it, it shortens the learning curve quite a bit.

      very nice point, Articleprince.
Tools are there to make the things easier for those who know those exact things to perform. When you can't make even one sale without the tools that means you just don't know the process or things needed. You'll have the toold but will not bw knowing what exactly to use them for.
Thanks again for bringing it to attention just before the new year.

The ultimate tool that one can use to make money online is your own mind, more specifically your mindset, since you need to make an affirmative decision to take massive action.
So the best tool is mindset, which allows you to take action. Then you will know
why you need the actual IM tools and thus acquire them.

True, true... this is with any tool you use - a particular technique, programming language, etc... so the best investment is indeed investment in yourself. Cheers!

Sean, your lists bring to mind a couple of PBS shows...

The first (I forget the name) features one of the "This Old House" guys, Norm Abrams (sp?). The guy is a whiz, but he seems to own every power tool ever invented.

The second is called "The Woodwright's Shop" and features a guy that uses only hand tools, and usually antique tools, at that. He's also a whiz, and turns out beautiful work.

What they both have in common is that they flat-out know what they are doing. They understand the process and the medium, so they can select and use the tool they want for the job.

It's like anything else - master the fundamentals, and the tools become more effective...
