Whats Google doing with Adsense and 'Eradicate Hunger and Poverty ' Ads ??

Does this have something to do with it being Thanksgiving week ?? I guess I have mixed feelings about this. Of course I am all for eradicating hunger and poverty worldwide but I guess it would be nice to be given a heads up by Google when they are going to take all your Adsense and just put these kind of ads today. Or maybe it will be all week ?? Is anyone else have all their adsense ads geared to eradicating hunger and poverty ??
And does this happen often ??

Sounds like you've got a public service ad which Google puts up when they're unable to find ppc ads that match the content of your site.

    It's usually temporary.

Okay. But its weird I have had Adsense up for a few months or so and never had this. And its on all my Blogs which include brick and mortar products as well as the make money niche. Cant figure out how they couldn't find enough have PPC ads that would match.

Weird. Maybe they are trying to keep me from cashing out the first time this month. Only need a few more bucks.

Just kidding , I guess you play by GOOGs rules. Its their call.

As danaprince has said, in your Adsense account there's a tick box when you're creating the ads to show a blank space (and what color) or to show their public service ads at times when their matching engine cannot find paid ads to display on your site.

Call me mean, but I always set this to being a blank space.

    You're mean.

J/k. I've always let them run the PSAs just because it keeps most Adsense-bearing pages "balanced" in terms of appearance. That big chunk of nothing can throw off design sometimes.

It's just the old PSA space-filler thing. Google hasn't turned all of its publishers into unwitting volunteers in the battle against hunger.

Have you logged in to your adsense account?

I had these showing last week and had to update my contact details in my adsense account.

    Dave.

Bingo Dave !! You win. Thanks, but I have to put in my Pin #. And I found out it takes two to three weeks for Google to send it in mail That sux. That means no Adsense for over 2 weeks or so until I put that Pin Number in ?? Is there any way around this to get my Adsense ads back up and running ??

      Thanks !!

I'm not sure, as I only had to verify my phone no. to get them working.

There's a faq in the Adsense Help Center about pin numbers here:

Best thing to do would be to contact them for a straight answer.

    Cheers,
    Dave.
