What are some of the potential Liability Ramifications we take on for Health and Medical Niches ??

I have been working on a high blood pressure blog and I want to have resources listed that would help individuals with this problem. What are some of the potential downfalls with a blog like this ?? I would like to put a lot of adsense resources that would give these people some options to help alleviate their problem. Some of the adsense ads might promote pills or something of that nature .
Should I put a Medical Disclaimer clause or something on the Blog that would release me of any possibly medical complications and potentially any lawsuits down the road ??
What do some of you guys do out there ??

Or am I just being a little overly obsessive about this ??

    I don't think you can be overly obsessive about something like this.

    If your blog takes on a personal tone, I would make it clear up front that the information on this site should not take the place of the advice from a licensed physician.
    You might want to run it in the footer of your site so it shows on all pages.
    Look for disclaimers on other medical advice sites and create one using those as a guide.
    I really think you need to put something on your site as protection. It also makes it clear that you are not the expert.

    I'm a nurse and working on a health related site right now. I will have a disclaimer on my site.
    For me its really important as I don't want to be accused of "practicing outside of the scope of my license"
