What keywords to use in article marketing?

Hi Warriors,

I want to start my article marketing campaign and have one questions for those who can offer help.

Should each article target a different keyword than the others?

I read over this forum that some article marketers right 5 or 10 articles a day. Are they targeting 10 different keywords each day?

Thanks

  • If your strategy is focusing on building backlinks to your website (this'll also work for an affiliate website, since more targeted articles could net you more traffic to your offers), then building a lot of articles focused on your main keywords could help you get indexed faster with more targeted traffic. Chose your keywords wisely, and then focus on them in your articles for more targeted, efficient results.

And yes, focusing each article on just one or two keywords each (with maybe some other incidental secondary keywords thrown in if they belong, but definitely don't cram them in there) might make for a clearer, more targeted article as well.

if there are a lot of searches and strong competition I would write more articles for the same keyword.
If there is little or no competition I think one article is enough

    Hello,

When I was doing research on article marketing I was told to choose 3 separate niches and write 1 article on each niche everyday. Within each niche I'd choose a different keyword, preferably one with a decent amount of exact monthly searches (1000-10,000) and not too much competition (less than 30,000 results on google).

In short, I would choose a different keyword everyday for my three niches. You could, of course, multiply this by writing more articles in a single niche with a new keyword for every article. This method worked well for me.

    Hope my info helps.

    Best regards,

    Josiah

If I have 100 keyword phrases then I would want to write 100 different articles in order to have an individual article cover each primary keyword phrase seperately. However, over the course of those 100 articles I would also want to sprinkle in the additional (secondary) keyword phrases if they are a natural fit.

This method allows you one article per primary keyword phrase and the opportuinity to rank for the other keyword phrases as a secondary phrase on the primary keyword phrase's article.

    Clear as mud right.....

    Respectflly,
    Tim

I'm a newbie so take this for what its worth. In the replies given one of the most important things to understand is competition.

When trying to drive traffic to affiliate sites I did not get good results until I did.

It didn't matter how many keywords I used.

When trying to drive traffic - look for above average key words with as little competition as possible.

What I have been doing is using the Google Key Word Tool and looking at how much traffic a long tailed key word gets. I then put that "keyword" in quotes and Google it to see how many results are given.

I then divide visitor count into results given. I hope this makes sense.

    Pay attention to competition.

You may target two keyword per article. If you have more keywords, then write different articles based on your keywords.

Hi warriors. I have a question regarding article marketing.
If I am getting an article re-written, is it still necessary
    to research for keywords?

At the end of the day, you don't want to stuff your articles with keywords. Lots of readers don't like that.

Make sure you provide quality content. The more quality content you provide, the more people bookmark your articles and the more backlinks you get.

    Hope it helps

Rather than targeting to many keywords you should target specific and main keywords.
    1. Must Keep in mind keywords must not be stuffed or inserted just for the sake of putting a keyword.
    2. you must put relevant keywords back links.
    3. Content must be relevant and fresh.

So, am I right to say that if we were to outsource article writing
we do not have to worry about keywords, assuming that the
writer that we hire writes good articles with quality content?

No, you still need to have the article focused on your keywords. Just give the keywords to your outsourced employee along with instructions on how you want them to use the keywords (remember, only one or two main ones per articles) in your articles.

Yes, it is good to target one keyword per article. Make sure you work the main keyword phrase into your artilcle title.

But like TimG says, it is good to have your article about one main keyword phrase but then work in other phrases that go along with the main phrase into the article.

Your keyword must focused on the product you want to advertise.

Make sure the keyword is always present in the article that you had made.

You can also add headers to that keyword so that it would be more useful and understandable for readers.
