this is a little off topic but i'm wondering have anybody else customize there profile on here?

Hi guys i'm curious about this i see a lot of people profiles just plain and regular, so i was bored and decided to customize my profile a little bit i just wanted to look different from everybody else. So check my profile out if you have any time and let me know what you think about my little customization of it.

Do you guys think it's good to customize your profile or is it better to just keep plain ?

    It only takes a few minutes to customize so its well worth the effort. If you don't you are missing out on an additional traffic source.

    Plus you should track the traffic going back to your site as you may be pleasantly surprised.

      o.k and i'm also talking about backgrounds and the colors and stuff like that.

      like for example check out my profile and let me know what you think of it. i just changed the background to a different color and changed some of the other parts of my profile to different colors

        My gut reaction was something like:

        "OMFG!!!1!1!!! This hurts my eyes!! Where's the back button! I'm bliiind!!!"

        So... no disrespect, but something that blends in with the board a bit more would probably achieve better results and still allow you to "express" yourself.

        At least, a boring regular profile page makes it easy for me to look for and find the information I'm looking for. Yours just made me want to run back to this thread.

          LOL See this was the type of answer i was looking for "straight forward"

          Thank you very much for your honesty i will change this A.S.A.P

          i may just keep my profile on default because it does seem like the best way to have your profile just normal and straight to the point.

            Makes you wonder how much of a market is there really for selling ebooks to blind people?

            @lil: Using your real name (or at leas a pen name) and a real picture is deffly better. Do as I say, not what I do. I'm an expert at breaking rules.

            And as a pre-emptive measure: You can get your name changed by filing a request at the helpdesk

              I'm just curious because i was looking at a lot of other profiles and was wondering certain stuff thats why i asked these questions but thanks for your response buddy.

            LOL no it's nothing like that i just thought it would be a little fun to mess with the customization options i just wanted to make my profile a little different from everybody else's but i changed it back to normal because my profile was a little too "BRIGHT"

              I think that is probably for the best as I'm still rubbing my eyes.

              I tried to customize mine last week and it looked awful, so I ended up setting mine back to 'default' as well. I think everyone fiddles with the customization options at some stage, and most realize it looked better the way it was.

              Human nature I think: It's click-able, so I'll click it!
