building a list this time of the year?

Hey, I am having my doubts about starting to build my list before new years eve. Because we have just gone through christmas, and I am not really sure if it would be wise/give me any benefit in this holiday season.

Do you see a drop in your optins around christmas and new years eve?

Are your conversions on read emails and clickthrougs lower on this time of the year?

And do you offer your subscribers something extra in this holiday season?

Never a better time than now to get started! I don't think it matters what time of year it is to build a list or sell a product or build your business. I think if you worry about that you are just procrastinating. Take action anytime and it will benefit you!

I've seen an increase in opt-ins and clicks these past week.

I'm guessing the clicks are due to people having additional time off from work. That's only a guess.

I just put my lightbox back up and my opt-ins have increased since I've done that so possibly that may be another reason for the opt-ins.

I have personally not changed any of my opt-ins for the festive season. They are working - no need to break the chain of conversion right now.

I don't think there is a good or bad time, is there? It's what you're offering and how you offer it. As they say - don't wait, just do.

What does "this time of year" have to do with anything?

It is only an excuse to put off opportunity until another day.

The best time to start a list was yesterday, but you didn't do it then either, did you?

The best time to do something is now.

Don't wait for a better time - unless you are planning a launch - but even then I say set a date and then go with it.

Regardless of what your opt-ins will be NOW, you can continue to improve and, for the sake of argument, when it is a "better time of year", you will already have everything up and going.

any time is good to start building your list. use seasonal incentives to build your list and you'll have more optins than any other period of the year. If at any point of the year you have same doubt; go and visit google trends and you'll have enough traffic to create your list. Regarding sales, it just depends on your market. hope you get the point. (there are businesses who witness record sales this time of the year!!!)

    • Get on with it, every day which slips past is a day lot, plus Xmas and new year gives you the opportunity to create new incentives to invite new subscribers.
