My brain is going dead- membership site/page protection question

OK, I am having a hard time thinking through something that I know will be easy once I get it straight in my mind. So, in an effort to do just that, help!

Let's say I am setting up a fixed term membership site via Wordpress. OK, I have Optimizepress, so I create a snazzy sales page with a nice juicy sign up button at the bottom. Now, I don't have Wishlist or Nanacast or anything like that because I will be delivering my content each month via Aweber (like Membernaire teaches).

Question #1: If I am not using Clickbank at first (or even if I am), how do I best protect my pages on WP? I do own DLGuard, but I am not sure that even figures in here. I am wanting people to sign up, make payment on Paypal and then redirect to the page where I will have my Aweber sign up box so they can get on the paying members list. How do I set up and protect that page within Wordpress? Or is there a better/easier way?

Question #2: Once they sign up, I will send each week's content via Aweber which will give them the link to a download page. On that download page, there will be a PDF and link to a video. So, again, how am I protecting these pages from being out on the internet? Where am I setting them up in Wordpress?

This is where I keep getting stuck. Maybe I am overthinking it. But I just can't seem to figure out where to click and build these WP pages without them being "out there". In addition, I don't want members to be able to get ahead in the content. I don't know HTML or how to create a page to upload within file manager, so I am not sure how else to do this.

* Crying out for help *

Thanks in advance...

I would second the request, because I am also looking to start a similar service and would be posting stuff through email. The same question occurred to me but I postponed it until I finalize my product.

I was once in the same boat as you. I don't use wordpress, but I used amember for my membership site. I can password protect each directory that contents pdf files and flash tests. After each member signs up and pays paypal they get one month access to my site. Amember has a free wordpress plugin that I think you should give a shot.

I built my site for months and never thought of how I would setup the membership and payment system. I panicked for two days until I found amember.

      Good Luck

I really recommend you this script:

        Instant Membership Site Creator

I already have 2 membership sites with this, you can put your sales page on the index and install the script on an internal folder (the script do it for you) and create your wordpress blog on it.

Actually I have a forum and a blog with this script, and I LOVE IT:

        * Incredible easy to install
        * You can use your PayPal Account
        * You can switch to clickbank any time you want
        * The prices it's the most affordable I ever seen.

You will need some sort of membership management system to do this.
The membernaire system relies on the content being delivered by an email attachment sent from aweber.
You are moving beyond this when you put the content on web pages or using a download link.

Here's a couple of options to consider. Both will do what you are wanting:

Rapid Action Profits and RAP Press add on:

    RAP - Rapid Action Profits

RAP Press - Rapid Action Press

RAP will give you payment processing through PayPal, but has affiliate program built in and can add buyers to Aweber list. RAP Press will create protected members area.

A stand alone solution would be MemberWing X (has built in affiliate program).

Membership Site Plugin – Wordpress Membership Plugin – MemberWing

MemberWing X will do pay per post also.

    Thanks,

    John

I'm using Wish List Member and Magic Member plugins for my Wordpress membership needs. Both work very well and do what you need. Not sure about the email delivery. I put the info in the membership blog and they can see it once they have paid.
