Opt-In Tactics... Which System Works best For You?

Hey everyone,

I am about to set up a proper funnel for my membership products.

I'm looking at possibly 5 scenarios after a visitor opts in:

Firstly, redirect them to the sales page. Not real keen on that, although I have used it before in different niches.

Secondly, redirect them to a low price ($10 - $15) upsell for an ebook which compliments and expands on the free report. The logic here is to pre-qualify them with a small purchase.

Thirdly, there's the old Eben Pagan sandwich page system.

Forthly, there's also the armand Morin system where you simply ask them to subscribe to view your sales letter and system.

Finally, there's the instnt access to the free product and a link to your sales page on the thank you page.

I'm interested to hear if you use one of, all of the above, or something completely different... and what has worked best for you.

Regards,

Sal

I have found that the low price upsell strategy is good and personally feel that using videos and audio is a better bet than an e book..Videos and Audios are better at attracting /retaining attention against providing a lengthy e-book to read.

    • Either get them straight to the sales page with different ways to entice them to optin or offer low ticket item.

Offering free items unless its a genuine free mmebership with time limit or other restrictions, in my opinion carry little value as visitors view bonuses and free reports as having very little value.

Forget the free reports. Anything that sends them away from your site will hurt your sales. Send them straight to a sandwich page that gives them the free tip your promised, then from there they click to continue to your sales page.

As soon as someone leaves your site you will have a hard time getting them back - even through a good follow up email series. So make sure you provide the value you promised and then send them to your product. But make sure your product ties in with the free information you give them - it should be a logical progression.
