anyone using paydotcom? What are those numbers in the affiliate links?

Hi there,

quick question for those using paydotcom to promote products
(like the best spinner)

Any idea what the last number in the affiliate link is?

here's a typical link (here it's the product 95330 which is the best spinner)

http://paydotcom.net/r/[product ID 95330]/[affiliateID]/[some magic number 26281400]/

what is that magic number at the end? Do I need to have this as it is or is it just some tracking number and sales will still be attributed to the affiliate if that number is 'messed up'.

Reason for asking: I'm setting up a blog where I give away a course which (amongst other things) shows how to use the best spinner.
I want to give affiliates the option of sending traffic to my blog and THEY get credited for any sale of the best spinner.
Ideally, they'd only need to provide their paydotcom affiliate ID, instead of the ID plus the magic number (to make it as easy as possible for them)

any thoughts?

thanks in advance

Veit

It's to do with their tracking system, just leave it there, if you really want to know what it's for, contact your affiliate manager / the company.

Hey Adie, did you sign up for the peoplepaypeople (or whatever it is called) account? You need to have a paypal and the people-whatever account, otherwise you don't get paid.
it should all happen automatically once your signed up.
