Submitting article to 100 directories for $5?

Pard my newb question.

There are people on fiverr who offer to submit an article to 100 directories (without spinning).

1. Can this kind of thing harm your website's reputation or be recognized by article directories/search engines as spam?

2. Will article directories even accept the article (it's not spun)?

3. Have any of you used such 5$ services from fiverr folks?

I'm interested to hear your replies.

Why not use some services like this:

Link Building King :: Quality Article Submission

They will spin your 1 article into 100 articles and then submit those 100 articles to 100 article directories.

What are the top 10 directories out the 100? Is the question you want answered, because if the're "nobody's" it won't benefit you. i have no problem with Fvierr folks but just be certain that what they're offering is going to do what you actually intend it to do.

Thanks Laurie, will ask that from the fiverr person right away.

I haven't used them myself... yet. It was a recommendation in a recent video by Adeel Chowdry - so I will be testing them out soon but no, I haven't as yet.

Yes it is, but look at this way, how many products do you see on the market that are given away for "free?" They all come with an upsell, do they not? That's what Fiverr is at the end of the day, a $5.00 product with an upsell.

How do you figure that? I have used plenty of services on fiverr and have never been offered anything other than the original service I ordered.

I agree. Not everyone is there to upsell. There are plenty of "finite" services on fiverr. It just takes time to find the good ones.

Also, half the time I used fiverr gigs I went with recommendation from friends.

Then obviously you wanted nothing more from the services you have used. Have you went back for services you've used before to the same person? Or point blank, are you an "el cheapo" and just buy same services from different people? It's an upsell in disguise, because if I bought a service for $5.00 and loved the results, you can bet I'd be contacting that person again and asking what the fee was.

I tried upselling someone on Fiverr and got a message from Fiverr Staff saying that if I try and offer something that's not a gig on Fiverr again, I'll be banned. It was pretty stupid though, I should have emailed them directly as opposed to through a message in Fiverr, but I guess I'd need their email for that.

The folks at fiverr will most likely deliver, but you are not going to get 100 links. You are going to get 100 submissions. Acceptance into the article directories is not guaranteed. It can take weeks for all the acceptance/rejections to get processed. Tracking that is tedious.

The fiverr person is probably going to use automation to do the task. I say don't get started down that road, as you can just buy the automation yourself and will get good use of whatever article submitter you choose.

I have used a few. I have been testing the new article submitter by Edwin Soft - the makers of Bookmarking Demon. I am happy with that purchase. Inside Article Demon there is automation to check your submissions to see which articles got accepted and published. That feature makes it a very powerful piece of automation. There is also an article spinner inside it, but it is optional.

Regardless of which automated article submitter you choose - I know Warriors have their personal favorites - I recommend automation over using fiverr. Because with fiverr you are most likely going to get automation anyway, but you won't be in control of it.

Thanks, Diane. Will most likely stay away from fiverr.

I'm curious about the Link Building King recommended above. Will go search see what people say about it...

There's no need to stay away from Fiverr, ask the questions, what are their top 10 directories? Ask them to show you some links, heck ask them for testimonials, it's only $5.00 ...I've used fiverr and have been marketing online for 13 years and have found some pretty good people to put on retainer (not for $5 anymore) but their prices are reasonable than others.

Sorry to be the pessimist, but I wouldn't be expecting much from $5 directory submissions. Not knocking Fiverr, it's a great site. But other than a small handful, most directories don't produce very good results.

  • As mentioned above, the offer would most likely use software for the submissions... Manually submitting an article to 100 article directories, each using an account with the same author name, which is syndication and is ethically, legally and SE accepted, would take around 300 to 500 minutes including formatting. That's 5 to 8 hours of work, aside from the initial work done to register accounts under each of those 100 article directories. $5 for such a task, if the offer = manual submissions, would be suspicious in my opinion, but if the offer is labeled "semi automated submissions", that would be an ethical thing for them to do, though if they just said "100 submissions for $5", that'd be sneaky, but that's just my opinion.

The fiverr person replied with top 3 sites she's submitting to: ezinearticles, articledash, goarticle.

I guess, these should be fine. She also guarantees 100% approval if articles are written by her (another 5$) - there you go Laurie

I think it's to cheap to accept that. You will be working hard to get the 100 links, all for just a single $5? Oh common!!! It's unfair..!! It should be increased.

I've used fiverr about 7 times.. all diff services + people providing them for me too... never had a problem other than one lady who took about a week and a half to get back to me with the finished product (though the pitch was it'd be done in 24hours).. i love the site to be honest with ya... thats what the ratings are for. Btw, if it seems like an offer thats too good to be true... why would u not think it was that one golden ticket? Especially why would u think that one golden ticket would find itself on fiverr out of all possible sites..

with article marketing, i've had better experiences, seo, traffic, etc. submitting 5 original articles to 5-7 article sites... really.. so many of the rest will scrape/share (via apis) and anyhow, in the case of those 100 directory submission offer - what would be the worth of having a spun, non-hardhitting article on 96 sites that no one actually reads and/or don't actually carry authority? You'd be better off having someone write u the articles... send 'em to ezinearticles, goarticles, buzzle, articlealley and then using the cheapo (at a dollar a post) distribution option on isnare.com after your articles were submitted to that first set. Heck, i've had good luck waiting until a goarticle or ezinearticle was accepted, then using THAT link in my isnare submission.

the point is quality over quantity. my articles will drive u to arrive either at a certain thought or drive you to a site. either way i've got you.

Anyway, I've ordered that service ($10 for unique article + submissions). She said that submission is going to take about a week, and articles are guaranteed to be accepted. I'll let you know how it went.
