I am being scammed. What to do?

Hello My Friends:

I am being continually scammed and seem unable to put a stop to it. I don't know if we are allowed to use names of IT companies that we use and accuse them of being scams, so I won't. But I'll bet any of you in this business know whom I am talking about.

Several months ago I bought a book on using Twitter and Facebook, etc., to market internet products. In the book was the idea that if we use this particular company (and the company icon was in the e-book so I'll bet they got a commission), then they would help us keep following people with similar interests and keywords that we select.

It seemed promising and so I clicked on it. A pay pal screen was on and then I was to select the keywords, etc., right after i paid for it. I paid for it through pay pal and then the screens all went blank. Everything gone. I tried to e-mail the company to select my keywords and all and they would not take an email from me as they "had no record of me." I tried a number of times but got this same screen or something really close.

So I though that if they never heard of me then they also don't have my money. First of the month came and pay pal took the money. I disputed the claim and told pay pal I wanted nothing to do with them ever again. That was several months ago and still every month pay pal takes the money and I have to dispute it every month to get my money back. Later in the month pay pal tells me in their dispute process that the company has not responded and then I select to have them decide and they do in my favor and then the next month they do it again.

The company won't take a message from me. Pay pal won't quit. What to do?

thanks

Jim

Sounds like you may need to cancel the subscription from within your PayPal account.

Dan's content is irregularly read by handfuls of people. Join the elite few by reading his blog: dcrBlogs.com, following him on Twitter: dcrTweets.com or reading his fiction: dcrWrites.com but NOT by Clicking Here!

Dan also writes content for hire, but you can't afford him anyway.

What you need to do is cancel your subscription, you can do this manually inside your PayPal account.

I'm not sure this is the right information for you but this is what I'd do.

I'd telephone Paypal and say I have received nothing, continue to receive nothing and these people are taking money out of my Paypal account, for nothing. I also no longer want to pay anything to them again.

Don't bother calling PayPal, unless you want to spend all day on hold, going in circles, and ultimately accomplishing nothing.

As others said, just cancel your subscription within your PayPal account.

With PayPal no one can take your money month after month unless you let them.

First and foremost, look for the active subscriptions in ur Paypal account and cancel it.

Send the screeenshot of company not accepting the email from u for the obvious reasons to Paypal and tell them to sort the matter.

Followup on that. The process might take sometime but paypal will refund the amount to your account.

Cancel your subscription now, because the more complaints you file the more your account will begin to look suspicious. I'd say even send them an e-mail or take the time to call them (after you've cancelled the subscription) and explain the situation, letting them know that you didn't know how to fix it.

that sucks, reason why I dont purchase anything unless its from clickbank, not that you cant get ripped off at clickbank, but they are much easier to track down and deal with than just sending someone paypal money. def sounds like a full on racket and scam to me. but yea, cancel the subscription dude. simple as that, then find out who the company is, jump on a flight and punch them in their faces! only problem is, you need a passport and airfare to get to the phillipines or africa or wherever they are, and to not be biased, they might be inthe us as well, in that case, better for you!

If the payments are made by your credit card in PayPal perhaps you can deal with the CC co as well to file claims and get refunds, not too sure what their policies are tho.

You should cancel your subscription yourself and they will stop.

this is an obvious plug for my own product
It certainly is. Before joining more sites of any kind, the OP needs to learn how to cancel a subscription he created in paypal.

Have a look through the rest of his posts.

Doesn't seem to be doing much but plug his WSO at the moment.

If you don't know how to cancel a PayPal subscription, go to their FAQ's and in the search write: cancelling subscriptions.

It's faster, and easier than emailing them or calling them.

Do it today, do it now!

Watchout, PayPal could even cancel your account if this thing gets going longer, thinking that you are the scammer.

Luckily, you didn't pay directly to the company.

      Sincerely,

      Antonios
