Starting your own Affiliate ad network

Me and my partner have been looking into starting our own affiliate ad network for a while now. Im wondering now i see that certain companies like stamps(dot)com and netflix use and advertise Cj as their affiliate partner but at the same time other ad networks also have these offers in their networks. Im wondering then do the other ad networks sign up and use cj and then handle tracking themselves or do they actually contact and get partnered with say netflix but netflix just dosnt mention them? If you understand what im saying please help me out here.
Thank You

In many cases netflix for example will partner with more than one network. In other cases it's done through subid's.

Hard business to get into, harder to be taken seriously, harder to float the payouts and other things.

Hope you've got big cash reserves both for advertising and for the floating and losses that will occasionally happen. Lot's of fraud.

I understand all of this 100% . Im not worried about cash, im not worried about development of a site , and im not worried about advertising at all , not worried about fraud really as i would definitely spend the extra cash to put extensive fraud protection in place.I know people can still get around it but i would make sure to keep it minimal. Im really just worried about getting these large companies to partner with. I know there is alot that goes into running one and im very serious about doing it and have done tons of research. I know there are some companies that use cj exclusively so then like i said i would have to explain to them my situation i guess and get a subid from them? Then though that would potentially lose me alot of money as i wouldnt be able to offer people good pay outs because of the middle man..

What happens is Netflix contacts the affiliate networks which they believe will benefit their online marketing campaign. The employees will establish a contract with the affiliate network, and in most cases this will be a non-exclusive contract.

This therefore gives Netflix the right to join other networks as well, the reason they may do so is for the loyal users/affiliates which this network may bring as well as several other benefits/differences such as other clients (different to affiliates, these may be direct partners).

These benefits may also be, different payment arrangements, whether this be net 7, 15, 30 or pre-pay. The interface maybe more to their liking as well, there are many little perks which may help to push Netflix to another network, however this does not mean it won't stay with CJ as well.

Most online companies are with or do some sort of business with the top 20-30 networks if not more, some of these business arrangements may be direct campaigns and therefore outsiders, external users would not be able to see this.
