Does Anyone Have Several Ezine Accounts?

I maxed out my first 10 article submissions on Ezine Articles and now I have to wait until all of them are verified, my account is reviewed, and then upgraded before I get an extra 25 credits.

Generally I'm a fairly patient guy, but the 3 articles that have been accepted took about 10 - 12 days for that to happen. I'd rather not wait that long for the remaining 7 to be accepted before being able to publish more.

So, I was thinking about cranking up a 2nd account. Any thoughts or experience?

EA accounts are supposed to be one per individual. You could try opening another account, but you risk getting both of them shut down if they discovered it.

From what I remember, they are actually faster reviewing account upgrades than approving articles. I would just wait, keep writing, and submit to other directories until your account is approved.

Limit one account per person at EZA.

Think about this - how long did it take you to get around to writing and submitting those first 10 articles? A day or two...a week...a month?

I see people (not the OP) post about "getting ready to start writing articles" for months - then they do the work and immediately complain "EZA is slow". :p

It's only slow when you are new there. I know it's frustrating but let it go and write more articles. Once you prove yourself, it will work fine. If you establish a schedule of submitting a few articles ever other day you have a steady stream of articles appearing. Just have to get past the "newbie status" at EZA.

I only have one account, but yeah, it can take awhile to get your articles approved. I've waited as long as 14 days for a few articles to go through the grind and get approved. I wouldn't open a secondary account though because as cma01 pointed out, it's against their TOS and you wouldn't want the articles you have already had approved to be zapped.

Patient is a virtue, my friend.

Definitely don't do the multiple account route - not worth the risk. There are other good directories to use while you wait for the review.

I agree with all the previous posters. Resist the urge to go with multiple accounts.

Just keep writing so when you get your upgrade you can start a constant flow of submissions. (Which is the key to article marketing.)

I don't think that should be a goal. Getting 25 'extra' credits means that you've failed to be upgraded to platinum level.

Your goal should be to write ten quality articles to reach the platinum level where you can submit unlimited articles.

Like everyone else said, no. You are only allowed one account. Don't jeopardize your status by doing something against their policies.

I watched the video on EZA about being upgraded and generally you have to go through a second level in which you are allowed 25 more submissions before you can be considered for platinum.

I'm not assuming that I will automatically shoot up to platinum, thus the 25 extra submissions before getting to an unlimited submission level.

Thank you everyone for your input. I will continue to be patient and wait for my first 10 to be approved and hopefully get upgraded.

This isn't quite how it works.

When they assess you after 10 articles, if there have been no problems or articles declined, they make you "Platinum" and from then onwards there are no "credits" or limits and you can submit as many as you wish, as often as you wish.

If they decide not to upgrade you to "Platinum", then you become "Basic Plus", which means you have to submit another 25 articles (without a problem or getting one declined) before they'll re-assess you with a view to upgrading you to "Platinum".

All the above comments about dual/multiple accounts are correct. Don't do it - if they find out, they will close down all your accounts.

    Good luck.

      Correct on all counts.
(IMHO) Your objective in article writing is to put out the best quality articles humanly possible for whatever abilities you posses.

If all you want are blog links then EZA would not be your best choice. Go to one of the mass submit places like UAW, Linkvine, FTS ect...

If you are really looking at article marketing then one of your primary objectives is traffic. Sure you will hear people who have not yet had success in article marketing tell you it's for the birds. Which by the way is true if you like high flying traffic that converts.

Where else will you spend 1 hour and get over 20k views in your 1st 34 days with a 22% CTR to your site that converts at over 12% of that traffic? (Ok, so it was amazon products, hence high conversion, but...)

So, (IMHO) just Joe Cool it for a few and if your articles all passed muster then you're off and running.

Avoid the multiple account route...stay patient and if your articles are good you will be awarded platinum status. Once awarded you then have the option of using multiple pen names which is a method I am particularly fond of using.

I had a partner that I was working with open an EA account from my IP and it caused a problem... So I think they can track IP's and it's not worth getting banned... At one point I had to consolidate EA accounts in the past into one account.

Especially so people don't look up all your articles and have volumes of your niche research all handed to them on a silver platter.

While on an EZA article just use the Quirk tool and you will know all their KW's in seconds along with KW density, back links to the article ect...

So multiple pen names is something you really may wish to look into.

Having multiple pen names does help prevent people from spying on your niches to a certain extent. I say to a certain extent because there are ways around that preventive barrier.

        Hi Tom,

Yep, some people don't want other marketers to see what niches they are in. Also, it creates more confidence in your reader. Imagine if you write an article on dieting, claiming to be an expert, and your reader finds out that you've written another article about something completed unrelated, claiming to be an expert as well!

Yes, as Sirius pointed out it doesn't look real credible to be the pest control expert who also happens to be the gambling expert and the weight loss expert and the acne prevention expert and the debt relief expert...etc

I think I have 16 pen names at the moment covering various niches. Also, the pen names are not all male gender. I have some pen names that are female names for niches that perform much better when a female is behind the articles/product.

Agree what has been said here, just keep writing once you get upgraded you will have a lot of articles to submit. I have seen people who have multiple accounts on Ezine but I would never advice any doing multiple accounts.

The TOS says only 1 account per individual. I know it's a pain waiting for approval when you first start out, but once they've reviewed and upgraded you, most of your articles from then on should be approved within a matter of hours.

Great advise, do not open another account, if you could use a article spinner and spin those articles that you are still waiting on approval, This would create lots of backlinks.
Also I have reached 1st page Google with this process with several keyword phrases in my article titles.

They don't work on the weekends, so just wait till Monday! Trust me, I was the same way. I have a recommendation though, don't submit with any links for your first 10 articles. I did this and instantly received platinum status after they were all accepted.

As others have indicated, it is simply best to create some really well crafted articles for your first 10, and you'll be upgraded all the way right from the start.

Then, as others have also indicated, if you want to create multiple pens names for each of your niches you can go ahead and do so.

If you're impatient waiting, just continue writing, and as soon as your account is approved you can add them all in to get moving with your marketing efforts.

    Best wishes,

If you don't get promoted to platinum after your first ten, I would suggest putting a lot of work into the next 25 to make sure you get promoted. Judging by a few posts I've read here, I think you will never be promoted to platinum if you miss it after the second chance, although I could be wrong.

I wouldn't bend the rules of a mega article directory such as ezine articles.

You're playing with fire when you create multiple accounts with sites like Ezine, they will ban you when they find out.

Use one account and submit quality content. You don't want to loose a major source of targeted traffic for your site(s).

Overwhelming advice to stay away from the 2nd account. I'm definitely staying away. As for using multiple pen names, I'm already doing this. Perhaps EZA changed the configuration to allow even basic members to use different names. Currently I have 3 different pen names.
