A while ago they said you needed numbers in your urls.

Im told they no longer need numbers in the urls and that you can achieve what they need using a google news sitemap

Can anyone share what this means???

What is the best google news permalink format to use?
Second what google news sitemap plugin should be used?

    I have not heard of this new rule, you could always just use what they have always approved and that is the post number id:
    I use this structure.

    /%postname%/%post_id%/

    How do regular news sites manage to get the news before anyone else?

    Like if 100 sites write on the same topic will google pick all of them or only a few?

    Does google also not like funky news domain names? do they have to sound professional?
