In An Internet Marketing Product...

What do you, as a consumer who wants to put knowledge from a bought product to good use in making money, look for? What qualifies the product, in your mind, as good enough to pay hard-earned money for?

It seems as though we've all tried an internet marketing product or two. We've all probably bought at least one eBook or at least one special report. More often than not, though, we find ourselves wading through the same crap that we read in the last product. At least, that's how it seems for me.

With so many unfulfilled promises in so many products, if a product had to have any certain aspects, what would they be? What would your perfect internet marketing product contain?

Personally, I've always thought a step-by-step program to be paramount. I think it adds motivation to the reader - and we all know motivation is something every IMer could use.

Cut all the rubbish pages and pages of fluff and cut to the chase.

Provide the tools required within the package.

I think a Workbook type of approach is a better motivator than a book/reading format.

Yes for me I prefer the 'this is what you do and here's how you do it' type of approach.

Those pre-amble pages and pages of why I should be doing it and how it changed the authors life are usually not of interest to me.

No fluff and no filler is usually how I create my products.

I agree with you. Step-by-step products are the best.

Too often IMers write a product and they assume the reader knows information that the reader doesn't know. It's not a conscious thing, the writer just knows so much about the process they're explaining that they forget to include all the details.

So a detailed step-by-step process is what makes an eBook great IMO.

I also like to see a "quick start" section or something similar.
