Using a .org domain for commercial purposes - OK?

As far as I can tell this is OK to do? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

      I've never purchased a .org before so I just wanted to double check. Just found a pretty sweet .org domain.

        Yes you can use it for commercial purposes. Maybe set it up as an authority site on the topic(help finding the best products in that niche and which to avoid) and pre-sell the product or products. It would seem kind of odd directly purchasing from a .org unless its donations, tshirts or promotional items to support the site. Like joomla.org

    Yep, agree with all the other posters so far.

    I know it was intended for charitable organisations originally, but I don't think that has ever been enforced. Country specific .org's may be a different kettle of fish though.
