Is this a marketing trick?

So I received an email with some special way of generating income. I'v read quite some stuff from this guy and it's all good information.

So I was in my inbox, received an email, opened it, read it quickly and was about to buy it to check what it's all about. I click the buy button only to see that I couldn't buy it anymore. The page said how many copies where available before it's sold out and it will be sold again a few days later only then it will cost more.

I refreshed the page and saw it's suddenly sold out. I guess this is possible in a few seconds because alot of people received that mail even though I opened it right when I received it, but what's the whole idea behind it?

I won't be buying it anymore so this whole thing didn't make me want it more.

keep it to the known sites that can provide this kind of help . Lot of people are trying to scam now . Always study the website reviews

They're simply creating a sense of scarcity, so when they email you about a "few" copies available, you will want to snatch yours up right away!

This seems to be the current "in" marketing ploy as I've received a couple of emails with a similar approach recently.

It's a pity that some folk have to resort to these sort of tricks to sell a product. After all, except in a "market saturation" situation, how can a digital product be sold out?!

One Internet Marketer sent an email to his list saying that x copies were available, and when you clicked, it was sold out.

Later on, he talked about it and why he did it (don't remember why now.)

Personally, I'd have trouble with a fresh email going to a sold out website.
