Richard Branson´s Business Stripped Bare
Hi Warriors,
I recently started reading Richard Branson´s Business Stripped Bare and thought that I would share the book´s title. It is a phenomenal read and is great inspiration for business owners, entrepreneurs and employees alike.
I must admit that I very rarely read business books as I am usually too busy with my own business; however, I requested this book as a Christmas present since Richard Branson is a true role model for anyone with ambition.
The book explains in length about Virgin´s past, present and future, and goes into detail on the failures and successes that Virgin has gone through. I am only a quarter of the way through, but fully agree with Richard´s approach on how managers should treat employees for one; as well as the necessity to prevent a company from getting too big (little independent companies rather than one) - and how this could have prevented so much damage during the recession.
On this same note I would like to add a business tip of my own; never allow a single client from becoming too large so that you don´t have time for smaller clients. Because if that one client crashes, so does your business which in turn affects your employees and freelancers.
I could go on all day about the book, but just want to make this my New Year recommendation to anyone currently looking for fresh ideas or inspiration, and if nothing else, a good read.
