What to do with this software??

Hey warriors,

I just got a partner that has this software that gets a diet together with all the foods and its calories, proteins, carbs, etc...

As of now, he is giving a demo version of the software and gives the activation code in exchange of 5 euros.

I convinced him of selling it along with the product I am about to launch, but right now I have not decided exactly what I should do with this software.

I have 2 things in mind:

1- Make the software a one-time offer.

2- Include its demo version as a bonus, and offer the activation code for maybe $17.

What do you think I should do? Any suggestions are welcome.

Btw, my product is about muscle building Both software and product are in spanish.

    Interesting.

I have a training book I am selling and something like this would make for a nice bonus or add on sale.

If I could see a demo I think I could better evaluate your situation and price point.

    Hey Frankie,

Saw your post and wanted to mention to you that there are FREE online sites that offer calorie counters, exercise maintainance and calorie burn. I've been using one in particular with great results. It's basically a way to show your progress and it encourages me to press on.

    Just my 2 cents...

I would give the trial version immediately and not if he buys the product and then charge extra money for it. But I would simply make it give away offer, and then include the price in the whole package for the activation and the ebook.

Lots of people search for diet and fitness related info/products everyday, there are a TON of possibilities here.

I think if it were me I would give the demo version away to build a list around this niche (if you haven't done so already). Once I had the list I would set up a series of auto responder emails giving them some quality free info and sprinkle in a few lines here and there (or emails purely dedicated to selling them) to pitch to them the upgraded version along with your other product(s).

There are many differnet approaches with this but as many will tell you...the money is in the list so using it to either build one (if you don't have one already) or to promote to one you already have is a definite plus.

    Good luck!

Thank you guys for all your replies. I forgot to mention I am already building a list and I have very well established blog.

Everything is ready for my product to be launched. I just need to decide how to implement this software.

Could I have 2 versions of my product package?

Maybe one being a silver package, and the other a gold package?

That might depend on what exactly your product is...

Some products do well when being offered with upgraded versions...some don't.

If your product and this product go together very well (and it sounds like they do) then there are several options. Since you already have your list (or are at least already building one) I think I would either add it to your product, increasing the perceived value as well as the price a little or do as you mention and offer it as a OTO or upgraded version.

      Lots of options here...

What are the price points of the two products?

I was thinking of setting the price of my product somewhere between $37 to $47.

And the software could be sold at $47 itself. But the creator is not an internet marketer and he really doesn't know the money he can make with it.

Hopefully I will make a good business relationship with him and I will teach him about internet marketing.

If you could work out a good profit split agreement with the other product owner it sounds like there is potential there.

I think I would try offering it as a OTO. If you found the response was less than expected then you could always change it later if you wanted to...would just have to be careful how you approached it so you didn't upset those that did purchase it as a OTO.

If the two products are both over delivering based on quality and price I would imagine you'd do OK either way you went as long as you can drive traffic to it.
