How to Check a Writer Validity

So this is the situation. I found a writer that writes 500 words for $1. I know it's Crazy. How can I check if they took the articles from non indexed places and give it to me. I checked copyscape and it passes as well the articles are keyword optimized.

The quality of the articles are pretty good also however this gets my suspicions up. I'm afriad they are using unindex sources to copy the article.

I should also note that I got them to write on specific keywords and they are currently doing it very well. For example I told them to write about "White elephants"

Thanks

The simplest explanation is usually correct.

Sounds like you found a winner to me. If you Copyscaped and they are clean, go for it.

I thought the elephant article was pretty good.

Wow 500 words for $1!? Descent quality and passes Copy Scape.

I'd say order as many as you can before he realizes he's way, way, WAY under priced... which he certainly will at some point.

No one wins when a person is so desperate that they are willing to write 500 words for $1, and when another person is willing to exploit that. I know I could never allow myself to pay $1 for 500 words because I want to make money with my creativity, not off the back of someone who is willing to work for slave wages.

IMO the White Elephant piece is not a helpful judge of skills for IM purposes. It shows that the person can string words into a sentence and sentences into a paragraph, but IM articles need to persuade. Inexperienced IM people are looking for words to fill a page as cheaply as possible. Experienced IM people are looking for someone who can convert visitors into buyers. They know every page is a landing page.

Paying $1 for 500 words makes no sense for anyone. Better to find someone who will write 500 words for $100 if their writing persuades visitors to buy at a high conversion rate. The $1 person will not have the ability to do that because they will not have time to think about it--they will be too busy wondering where their next meal is coming from.

500 words for $1? Gosh that's curious . Why will anyone want to offer so much for so little if its original?

I agree completely! I saw another post earlier today about someone paying one cent per 100 words. My first thought was how sad it was that someone would work for so little and that someone else would pay so little.

If you think you've found a good writer, don't take advantage of them, help them. Tell them how good they are and pay them a little extra. This will boost their confidence which in turn just may help them produce even better writing for you. And....you'll feel good about doing it too!

Now that's just completely Crazy. If someone was writing 1 cent/100 word I wouldn't even consider it for various reasons.

However the purpose of outsourcing is to find cheaper workers who have lower cost and expenses. If you paid $1/100 word you could get a Native writer because that is enough to sustain them.

and of course naturally if my writers are doing a good job I do reward them with bonuses and pay increments.

I do understand your point however you should also understand that there is nothing wrong with taking the offer that is offered to you(within reason) especially when you're ordering in bulks .

Actually this isn't much different than hiring a full time Philippines writer. The reason is because in countries like India and Philippines even $1 USD can actually go a fairly reasonable way. This is why you see many internet marketers making their buck online and living in countries such as Bali and Phillipines. Their cost of living isn't as high as would you be in Canada or US.

There is actually a course call replacemyself.com if you are unaware of it it is a very creditable and popular outsourcing course which teaches you how you can get full time writers for $100/month who work 40 hours a week. clearly those are no fools "inexperience marketers" and if there are that many workers willing to work for such prices clearly it's sustaining. It's sort more of a mutual beneficial benefit because it cuts down your cost. They get to work from home and you get cheap work.

Also what I often find is when I pay more simply what is happen is that I pay a middle man who pay others $1-$2/article to do the job.

I am one who maintains high ethics in my business so when someone makes such remarks I feel offended. I also think these remarks are not properly based; there are many people are getting cheap freelance workers. It's called outsourcing and you do so to countries that have lower cost of living.

When you're ordering in bulks of 100 it isn't very cost efficient to pay a middle man.

By the way your remark about the article not selling you should understand not every article uses it for article marketing. Some people just want content with reliable facts and nice reading which is what I'm looking for. You don't write everything to sell something. Sometimes you just have content that adds value then you can put your pitch somewhere else or in some unique ways. you got to change up the system sometimes instead of having each article selling products and paying $100/article(which is ridiculous amount) as you say.

I think I should also point out I know for a fact this person is also applying for other jobs so I'd only be the one losing out. I also didn't bargained to the pricing but instead I requested for them to quote me base per 100 articles.

In all likely hood I'm still unsure whether I'll be hiring this writer anyways.
