My Subscription and Product Marketing Problem

(1) I have a subscription model with eight components, which gives me a combination of eight single item subscriptions plus seven package subscriptions. Prices for the subscriptions range from $7 per month to $97 per month, depending on the item or combination of items. To sell all this "stuff," a minimum of fifteen landing pages would be required.

(2) I also have ten "back end" physical products, ranging in price from $87 to $1,497. In addition to the OTO, upsell, downsell and cross-sell pages, that means a minimum of another ten landing pages.

(3) Finally, I have twelve bonus packages, which are also sold as stand-alone products for anywhere from $37 to $67. That means another twelve landing pages.

How the Sam Hill do I plan any sort of key word marketing?

    Woah, many components indeed.

Do you have a current list? you can try promoting these marketing items to the list first.

    Keyword research?

What are the top keywords for that niche? Make a list of the, in relation to your niche. Then make content pages (i would do 1 page per keyword, with an article on that keyword).

This would be a normal LSI article, with no keyword stuffing and NO promotion. I would then add a link to a squeeze page, where you capture the subscriber, and then can promote these items to him in your Email follow up series.

    Link building
Then get backlinks from blogs, forums, related webpages to your homepage. Get some deeplinks to inner pages too. Interlink it all together internally (all your webpages), and you should get some naturaly traffic in some months.

My only suggestion is that you create a funnel.

Get them in on a low price item.

Segregate your customer lists and email them accordingly. Set up a sequence of emails that promote the other orducts.

    ...this as the very minimum.

Ordinarily, I would be all over this like stink on a skunk, but with the JV partners promoting me on webinars, we've brought almost all of the subscribers in on the mid to high end subscriptions, and the physical products.

The few folks who have come in at the low end have stuck, and while the ones at the very high end have a higher drop rate, the expected lifetime value of the folks at any price point is the same.

I have a small list (approx 2,000 +/-) and a moderate subscriber base. Among the subscribers I have a core group of "evangelists," folks who hang on to every word I say, as if I knew what I was talking about. However, it is not an IM niche, so getting them to promote me is difficult. They generally don't want their clients to know they are using my tools.

My customers over the past couple of years have come from JV partners, who have guarded their lists zealously. I have not been able to get much in the way of "cross- pollination" going. The vast array of products and stuff was developed to meet the JV partner marketing desires, and give me the stuff I could sell on my own.

This is my 2011 plan, start marketing on my own, and building my own list, rather than taking orders from someone else's marketing.

So far, I have started mailing to my list, and it is slowly, very slowly, having results. I am lost after that.

    Build list?
Send to sales/landing pages (and add to list)?
Continue with JV's (a big distraction)?

    Or other.

Always continue to build a list, dont ever stop this. Your efforts will pay off when you have loads of subscribers entering your sales funnel everyday.

Send them to a squeeze page where you collect their email addres, and send them an email series promoting your products (this is the sales product)

Send them to a squeeze page FIRST, then in the email series send them (via the email) to the sales page. If you send them to the sales page first, you can loose the prospect all together, as more people would want to part with their email address compared to getting their wallets out.

Continue JV deals, as your list gets bigger, you can get a bigger JV's email list to promote too.

Building a list is the only thing that really makes sense. I guess my frustration came out because I have spent so much time building products as a response to the demands of the JV "sales department," rather than spending the time building my list and then building the products to sell to my list. (The old chicken and the egg problem?)

With so much stuff staring me in the face, it just got overwhelming for a moment.

Now, back to the salt mines.

        Thanks.
