Are you noticing this on wordpress.com or on your own hosted blog?

I have been having the same trouble. I keep checking my ZoneAlarm privacy settings. Sometimes I can change them and other times they are already set but the site isn't responding.

I have found that if I change computers (I bounce between laptop and desktop) that will do it. Other times I can close the browser, work on something else and come back later and it is working.

Sometimes I can access one WP site but not another one... it is becoming a PITA!

All of mine are hosted on an HG reseller acct, btw, and I use RapidNicheWebsites.

My current theory (with little to back it up, I admit) is that it is a FireFox problem with a helping of ZoneAlarm issues....

I've tried on firefox and IE and same thing. Guess I'll try again later. If it's still not working don't know what I'll do. I have a regular acct. with hostgator. I don't know if this would be an issue for them. Hopefully it will work again on it's own.

Have you installed any new plugins or up dated the script.

If new plugin use your ftp to delete the new plug in if a new install/upgrade try renaming the plugin folder to plugin1. Some plugins may not be compatible with the new script.

I did update wordpress because everytime I would log in it would say upgrade now cause I had an old version. If that caused it which it probably is cause I never had log in problems before I have no clue how to fix it. I don't think I've ever ventured into an ftp folder before. I am the biggest tech dummy there is Will just have to contact hostgator and ask them how to undo the install.

    Could be something with hostgator...

My log-ins were incredibly slow earlier today and a plugin that has always worked before suddenly just quit working on two blogs.

When I changed over to the latest version of WP some time back I had issues so I don't use the latest version of WP on anything right now.

Like you said you updated so your problem is most likely going to be a plugin problem. I don't use hostgator so do they have a way to access your directories through the control panel.

for ftp just find the plugin folder and right click and rename it just add a 1 to the end. Then try to log in you should be able to. Then it is a case of finding out the culprit plugin.

I have had similar problem once.
    Clear cache on your browser.
Try signing using extension:/wp-login.php to log in
    I also changed my password.
    Hope this helps!
